Comment:

This was one of my hardest classes from all semester. Prof. Long's teaching is ALL lecture - doesn't write anything on the board, and reads from a text book. It was really hard to comprehend anything she says bcuz it was hard to keep up. I pretty much had to learn on my own spending hours on one hw assignment each week. 7 quizzes, drops the lowest.

Comment:

Great instructor. I took the night class and we were usually out by 9 but she went over all the chapters. Each week she would send us an email with various things to be aware of in each chapter and if we missed a class she had the PowerPoint for us to view. I only wish she was teaching other classes as I like her style of teaching.

Comment:

English is not my first language and I was having difficulty at first, but she encouraged me and I passed this class with a good grade. The homework really helped and since she gave points for the homework it helped my grade. I wish she taught other courses as I would take a class from her again.

Comment:

I liked the structure of this class as it allowed me work ahead so I could go at my pace if I knew I was going to busy later. I also liked the personalized emails after every exam detailing what I missed. That helped a lot. She also dropped our lowest exam so I didn't have to take the comprehensive exam at end - I let that be the exam I dropped.

Comment:

I love the extra credit it made the difference to get me to the grade I wanted. The textbook she uses makes it easier to understand accounting and in class she relates accounting to real life business reports and her experiences working in a CPA firm. I wish she was also teaching Managerial or Intermediate which I want to take.

She sent emails every week explaining information in the chapters and after each test she sent emails explaining what was missed. The exams were short which I liked too. Loved the structure of this class.

She is fantastic and I love that the exams cover only two chapters each so there isn't too much material at a time. With the extra credit and the last exam being optional, I finished the class early which was nice too. She also gives participation points just for showing up to class.

I found her to be very caring and eager to help myself and other students. I liked the way she did the class especially getting out by 9PM instead of the 10PM posted on the class schedule. I would take another class with her.

Financial Accounting is not the easiest subject, but I did learn a lot and she was super helpful and explained it in such a way that it could be understood. For each exam she gave us a list of things to study and only included two chapters so that helped me. There was extra credit too and participation points for just attending class.

Prof. Long is amazing. She explains a concept then we do practice exercises to consolidate what we learned. Weekly homework due online. 6 tests and a final. You can drop the lowest. Each exam covers only 2 chapters. But final is cumulative. All multiple choice. Extra credit online test. Take it. It's free points. It's not hard to get an A.

Her lectures are very dull and boring but then again its accounting. Her exams are really easy. You get to use your textbooks and she is helpful when it comes to answering questions. I like the fact that her exams are 2 chapters instead of 4-5 like other classes.

Exams are only 15 questions, multiple choice, and easy. For every chapter you have to answer a written question with 7 sentences and she is so easy on the grading. Every week she sends emails on the chapters she seems to care about the students.

The class was on line and I would take any other accounting classes she taught on line. There were weekly emails giving insight into the chapters, we were allowed to work ahead which made it easier to resolve conflicts with other classes, and she always answered questions in a timely manner.
