i was surprised to read so many negative comments.the class is pretty straight forward, 1 hw and 1 quiz every week, 14 of each in all and that makes ur grade. She lectures about the material in class, but it is still necessary to do the reading. This class is not that difficult, but it really helps if u didnt slack off in 116a

Everything you read about this prof. is true! She regurgates info-no teaching. The WORST prof., if you want a failing grade take this piece of work-should be fired!

The worst teacher I've had at Mesa. Homework & quizzes (no tests) are on-line & the publisher's program sucks so you get marked down due to bad instructions (e.g. how far to carry out a decimal). She does not go over homework and lectures are hard to follow powerpoint slides w/1 problem taking many slides so you can't see the steps on 1 screen.

Comment:

Thankfully, she uses WebCt (all tests, hw, and notes are online). Also, all of the tests are open book. Otherwise, I would have been screwed. This is one tough class if you have no vested interest in the subject. I spent hours upon hours on the hw alone. Pure lecture, teaches like it's a business presentation and she doesn't go over the hw.

Very hard teacher. The test may be take-home test but they are very difficult and unless you have a professional accountant by your side, then you are going to be heading down**** creek without a paddle. I passed acct. 116A with a "B" and I'm going to end up getting a "C" in her class.

Good things: She is positive and she is a professional acountant. Bad Things: She is NOT a professional teacher. Pure leacture, she does not go over the howework, You do not work in groups nor does the teacher work out problems on the board but by mouth, plain and simple avoided this class.

Ha! This instructor is horrible and only "teaches" to obtain a paycheck. Tests are exhausting and impossible. To call her lazy is an understatement. Get an accounting tutor from day 1 to survive this awful class.

Acct is hard but add that to the hardest teacher i have ever seen. The test are very long and difficult, she won't give you an inch. be prepared for a minimum of three hours per homework assignment,passed 116a failed 116b. DO NOT TAKE HER COURSE.
