Sheila is a great prof who cares deeply about her students. She tends to tell a lot of personal stories in class, but makes sure students understand the material. Also, Sheila is not a hard grader, so if you make an honest effort to do the work you will get a good grade in the class.

Easy tests if you do the readings, and friendly prof- I learned a lot & enjoyed the class. But: tangents (often unrelated), and tangents all are in the same topic- always. Also loses track of time a bit, so getting out 5 minutes late happens. Essay feedback can be unclear. Would take a class with her again, but seriously consider other options.

This is my second class with Shelia. She is genuinely interested in the material and does her best to be sure everyone understands. Two exams, she gave study guides for both and the essays to type up ahead of time. A few assignments and a major project for the semester. If you put even a little effort into the course you do well.

I hated sociology - the material was beyond boring. That being said, Sheila is a great prof. She is very nice, helpful, and loves telling stories. The tests are easy. I got an A in the class, and I barely read the textbook. Unless you're a sociology major, this class will be boring, but if you have to take it, take it with Sheila.

Super experienced teacher. Has had a life full of awesome experiences, and she uses these real world examples to help illustrate concepts. Can get off topic, as she is a little TOO interested. Fantastic though, really

Nelson is a great professor. She definitely loves what she is teaching so as long as you keep up with the readings, you'll be fine. Her tests are exactly what she puts on her study guide which is really helpful! Very interesting to listen to.

The classes seemed to be somewhat irrelevant to what the topic was that we read about. She liked going off on tangents. The tests were doable as long as you did the reading.

Dr. Nelson is a great teacher. She knows her stuff and is very interesting to listen to. However, she often rambled on subjects unrelated to the real topic of discussion and wasted my precious after-class nap time. Her tests were easy, but the objectives for our essays were very unclear. She's a wonderful teacher, and I totally recommend her!

I did NOT like this class, it was very unclear, and we never knew what was expected of us. Sheila always let us out late because she never paid attention to the time. Annoying!! Her tests weren't that bad, but the essays were unclear. I didn't learn a whole lot.

Sheila is definetly caring about her students and classes. She is will to help you with anything for as long as it takes. Even though she is not my advisor, I go to her to ask any questions because my real advisor (makepeace) doesn't even know my name.

Sheila is generally a nice person, but she is a femme nazi and forces her feminine views down everyone's throats. She is intolerant of differing opinions on subjects and does not acknowledge students opinions on subjects unless it aligns with her personal agenda. She's not the hardest prof.

Sheila is a very challenging professor. She expects a lot of her students and gives challenging, thought provoking assignments and topics. I think often students in her courses leave seeing and thinking about certain subjects differently from than before.
