One of my most favorite professors here at UNLV. He is very thorough with his lecture notes, always makes sure to write down everything. This is rare because he is the first professor that had done this. Though, you have got to put in maximum effort to work through problems on your own at home.

Great Professor, class is not easy but if you put in the effort you will pass! Every day after lecture go over your notes and ask the professor all the questions you have. He will gladly help you. Good Luck

This professor have the power to stop time. I've dozed off for what seems like eternity and I woke up and only a minute passed by. He is really nice. The first exam is easy assuming you did well in FIN301. The class will progressively get harder after the first exam. If you have insomnia, take this class.

Took Dr. Chang in the summer & the class was very tough. First test is basically material from FIN301. The other two tests progressively get harder w/the final being the hardest. If you don't put in an effort, especially if you take him in the summer; you will most likely not pass. Best advice is to go to his office & ask questions. Excellent Prof!

One of the most intelligent prof at UNLV. Many students think you need to know everything he writes on the board. They don't understand that he merely explains the why and how behind the what. He shows you where these concepts come from and why they work. Read the material and pay attention you just might learn something. Highly recommend!

Just took over the summer. He's a great professor and explains everything very well. His exams are tough and random, so you have to be very well prepared beforehand. My best advice would be to read the book religiously and do the hw before he goes over it.

Prof. Chang's lectures and notes are clear & textbook is easy to follow. Allows 8.5x11 formula sheet (1 side) on all 3 exams and curves (not much though). Questions from textbook are random, so make sure to read carefully. 3 group projects; can't switch so pick good partners. He's approachable & many times goes over previous material. Take him!!

Attendance is mandatory to get a good grade, 10% is showing up. First test was easy, tests after that were VERY hard. You have to study the book and do a ton of practice problems before the test. This class is not an easy A,B, or even C. You have to work at it. He gave a 3 question curve (12%!) on each exam, but don't expect to be so lucky.

BORING class. He is knowledgeable and really nice, but a dry subject to sit through. Can't really skip classes because you'll end up lost. Very challenging. Can't take this class lightly. Tests are tough. He is willing to help if you get a little lost though.

Dr Chang is an excellent professor. He works out every problem on the board with every step to the T. Dr. Chang, provides a practice exam before each test. Attempt to work out the problem before attending class, because you will see something similar on the test. Don't miss class, or you will be lost. I enjoyed Dr Chang class very much

His rating is fitting. Lectures are super hard to sit through. He's not very helpful, but he explains things like he's speaking to a child. His tests are really hard, nothing like the examples he gives in class. Take initiative, read the book & do the chapter problems. Ask questions until you get the answer that satisfies what you're looking for.

Teaches this like a math class. It's all financial calculation problems with little concepts. Takes attendance about 34 of the time. A few homework assignments, two group case studies, two midterms and a final. Can be a tough class. He will not hand out any easy A's. Go everyday and do all the assigned problems before the test you'll be fine.

I assume you are taking him because you have no choice, so here is the secret: either learn the stuff on your own, or get a tutor. This will save you a fair amount of frustration. You have been warned.

My 2nd time taking this course and I found to really like Professor Chang and his teaching style. Going to class and paying attention will help a lot! The recent book is required in order to do the hw problem sets. He let's you use a formula sheet during exams.

Professor Chang was not helpful at all. I was not doing very well in his class and asked him for help however he send me to my peers (which were also clueless and confused). I'm a junior and this is the 1st class I've ever failed. I read all the assigned readings and took over 50 pgs of notes during lectures did not help. Don't take this class!!!

DON'T MISS CLASS. Exam questions come directly from problems in class lectures. He shows you the calculations step by step. 1 page of handwritten notesheet front&back allowed. Copy the problems, make a good notesheet, get an A. Textbook only good for the Homework problems (grade fluffers). Calculation intensive, good balance to other FIN class

He is a good teacher. It is a very interesting class. He always goes over the homework and reviews before the exam. You need to understand very well how to apply the formulas to be able to solve the problems on the exams. I like his teaching style. To me, he is excellent :-P

This teacher speaks to the marker board for the whole lecture, for almost every class. Everyone was stressed last semester because he went through the material way too quickly for a finance course where some students have no business background. My tips for Dr. Chang look at the students and slow down for you don't take him unless you have to.
