Comment:

Professor Lynch is definitely one of the best civ professors. He really makes his class interesting and you can tell how much he enjoys teaching. He almost always lets his seminar classes out early. He is a tough grader but not too terrible and for the most part fair. Also, he tells lots of dad jokes. Overall he made civ pretty enjoyable.

He was absolutely hilarious, lectures were engaging and entertaining which usually made them easy to follow. Wicked nice guy, but is a very tough grader.

Comment:

Professor Lynch really cares about what he is teaching. The lectures are enjoyable for the most part, especially because he has a great sense of humor. However, no matter how often you laugh at his jokes he won't grade you any easier. He encourages participation and allows everyone to participate in a way that isn't intimidating.

I absolutely love Dr. Lynch. You will not find a better, more respectful, and genuine teacher on this campus. He is very engaging and really makes the students feel as though they are contributing to the learning and the lecture. He is a little tough on grading, but once you figure out what he is looking for, he is the perfect teacher!

I thoroughly enjoyed having Dr. Lynch as a professor. He loves participation from students and never puts down what you have to say, even if it's incorrect. He is approachable, a fair grader, and very funny. Although their class is tough, his civ team is one of the better ones. I hope to have Lynch several more times.

Dr. Lynch is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Loves participation and always works with what you have to say- never puts down a student's input. He's a fair grader on essays and, honestly, his civ team is THE best. So sad he's going on sabbatical next semester! Dr. Lynch knows what he's talking about. TAKE HIM!

THE funniest professor I've ever had. Lynch is hysterical and he's my favorite professor thus far at PC. He knows his material (he's the head of the Honors dept.) and he's very approachable. Fair grader as well. I am looking to take any class available with him because he's THAT GOOD. Take him if you have the chance.

There are no good undeclared advisors at PC! I am in his Shakespeare class now, and I love it! I have never studied Shakespeare before, but he makes things so clear that even a novice like myself can understand everything. He loves if you participate even if you are not exactly right all the time. A lot of Shakespeare is up to interpretation.

AWESOME guy, even better teacher. hes goofy and makes the class fun and not too boring. not a tough test grader for honors but grades hard on papers. he is a really good guy though and helps you along the way. not to mention very funny. his civ team rocks

I had him for Readings in Dramatic Lit: Shakespeare over the summer. we read many plays, discussed him and watched some of the plays. Honestly, he was great and very enthusiastic. I am not an English person, but I enjoyed the class, learned a lot. I got an A even though my writings skills are eh. I'd would def take another class with him

Dr. Lynch may appear nice and funny during class, but he expects too much. His classes aren't that good for the amount of work he expects. He told me right to my face that he designs his tests so that no one gets an A. This does not seem fair. He is also not that helpful in writing papers.

Lynch was the best teacher on my team. His lectures were the only ones that were interesting..best in seminar. I got A's on all my papers, and he was fair on tests. Study lecture notes, not textbooks

Lynch is awesome. Makes Civ fun. His section uses the intellectual notebook, no tests. Awesome in seminar, funny jokes, just a really enjoyable guy, and a fun time if you go abroad. A hard grader on papers, but Civ with him is worth it. Take his class.
