Horrid teacher. Lectures are so boring that it is tough to stay awake in class. when you try to contact him, he wont reply for a week or so and when he does, hes rude and shows no respect for students. I would not recommend this teacher to even my worst enemy.

He was snappy toward people who asked questions, which deterred us from asking, even when we got confused (which was quite frequently, considering all he did was monologue for 50 minutes). I took pretty good notes in his class and still thought his tests were a little hard, but not too bad (so if you suck at note-taking, don't take this class).

Not that nice and not very good at emailing back but, I enjoyed this class and the passages I read. I did all the work I needed but nothing too above and beyond although I did always try and I put school first. Pretty easy if you put forth effort.

If you are independent you will receive a great grade. About one weekly homework assignment to keep you current. Mid term and final. Attendance is not mandatory. Mostly a lecture class.

Mr. Duncan is a pretty straight forward instructor. He doesn't make you log on every day and doesn't assign busy work. I barely posted comments on others' postings but still got a good grade because I submitted college level work. Quite lenient about topics for the term paper. Proof read your weekly submissions and you'll be fine.

Don't take this class at least you really interested on PHI. It's hard to follow him as his ancient and the test is hard. It's hard to get a good grade! If you want your GPA be higher, don't take this class

Very disappointed, very boring teacher. plain monotone voice with zero handouts or power points or anything of that nature. all he does is stand in front of class and talk/write on board. very easy to get lost and not understand what he is saying. every time i ask a question he responds aggressively. Not a good teacher at all i dont recommend him

Took this class online and dropped after a few weeks. The site was horribly disorganized, could not find assignments or the discussions (he removed both links from the page) so really completing any work was impossible. He wanted us to just figure it out.

The downside is that his lectures are long and monotonous. The positive side is that you will learn a ton. I also recommend visiting him during his office hours--he is seriously *so much* friendlier than he makes himself out to be in class.

This professor is quick to point out errors in your discussion, but does not provide any clarifying remarks. He is especially vague about the 3-5 page term paper and its corresponding outline. I was unable to receive any clarification about my essay topic, as he rarely responded to email. It also seems that he does not understand how Canvas works.

Class is very straight forward, as long as you do the reading and participate in the discussions, you are fine. Be warned, he will not hesitate to correct any grammar or spelling errors you make. Other than that, he is minimally involved. Quick at grading and giving responses though.

This was literally the worst class I've ever taken! He has a boring monotone voice, answers questions aggressively, and all he does is lecture! He has 1 real assignment that he never explains and told us the test would be easy after handing us a 5 pg study guide. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Not gonna lie, I gave up on this class and didn't show up for about a month. His way of teaching is an hour lecture and that's it. No power-points, no videos, no worksheets, no homework. Just a mid-term, final, and final paper. This class was so boring and a waste of time. Only take this class if you are SERIOUSLY interested in Philosophy.

Very confusing as far as clarity is concerned. But after the first week it starts to make sense. You post review and discussion questions to open board for all to see and you comment on others answers. You do this once a week for 10 weeks. Plus a self evaluation at midterm and final and a 5 page term paper. He is quick at responding. Easy class!

Take this instructor's classes only if you are genuinely serious about studying philosophy. Although his class is easy his lectures are rather monotonous. The upside is that you will be rewarded with an INCREDIBLE wealth of knowledge by the end of the course. There is almost nothing he doesn't know and can't help you with!

The class itself is incredibly simple. It was online and the only Homework was a couple discussion questions and review questions for the chapter. The most difficult part of the class was the term paper which was 3-5 pages and about any topic we wanted that we had all quarter to write. The lack of organization was frustrating though. VERY EASY

I took this class online and it was great. He responds to emails quickly. Do the assignments and you will get an A. Grade is based on self evaluation. He does not post grades throughout quarter.
