If you already have a good writing skill-take this class for grade, but if you don't-take this class for Pass/No Pass option. She grades your essays carefully with every tiny mistakes which you have to fix to get the final grade. I don't like that way b/c if you don't turn it on time you'll get some points off which makes your B falls to D.

if you really want to learn english choose Ms Goldmann. She is the best Esl teacher i have ever had. If you need to be in class for visa or just jump from one class to another this is not right class for you. Ms Goldmann helped me a lot to understand grammar. If i had a choice I would request to have only her as my teacher.

Read Mark Twain story, write report on articles EVERY WEEK!! 2 midterm and 2 final (1 based on MT stories, 1 is a new article). Your reading and writing skill will greatly improve after her class. She will be strictly in grading every week,but she will grade mush easier on the final exam. Very little extra credit. But if you try you still get A

Tbh I almost died bc of this class. I gotta turn in a homework paper about summarizing and responding the articles almost every class. You also gotta read quite many stories in Mark Twain book she requires and the tests are based on those ones. She's a very hard teacher in my opinion. But ur welcome to ask things in her office after class.

All I can say to you she is the toughest instructor at Occ. If you take her class, you will regret it. If you take her class, make sure you do not take any other classes because her class takes lots of time to do her assignments , especially reading her favorite book from mark twins. End of each semester, not even half of her student would survive.

Confusing lectures, tons of homework and hard reading assignments from Mark Twain stories. She means well but the way she inspires us is really confusing. I should have taken the 060 class instead of 065. Learned nothing from her but stress.

I wasted my semester with her. She doesn't explain much,but still gives a lot of homework! She is not helpful at all, she is a useless teacher. She is unfair to some students. She also doesn't give you time to answer any questions. She has short term memory, she forgets many things .

She is one of the best teacher I ever had.She helps a lot.She also gives a lot of homework and most of the homework are regarding articles on TIME magazine.She also uses the Mark Twain's complete short story book to give homework.If you do your homework and study a little to quizzes and exams you can pass this class.Highly recommended.
