Ted is my favorite teacher at South. I have taken almost all of my math courses with him, as well as his introductory astronomy class and I would highly recommend him. He's very passionate about what he teaches.

Do not take MATH 102 with Coskey unless you really struggle with Math and have a significant amount of time to dedicate to his course. The homework system he uses is obnoxious, even if you understand the material it takes about 10 hrs to complete HW for each chapter, in addition to your study time. All tests are at proctor center

This class was totally awesome. I took it online and although there is a lot more reading involved and sometimes you have to do a bit more research in order to understand the material it was easy. I loved all of the homework assignments they were fun and easy. I would take this class again!

Everyone complains about Ted making you study...just do what your told and you will be okay. He is extremely helpful if and when you need it. I recommend the class.

You will never expect what to see in his quizzes and tests. No study guides. you are required to study everything in the book. It is very boring class. he has very old teaching style. In fact, he spends the entire quarter talking without giving chance to students to participate or do some useful activities.

I do not suggest taking this class at all since it is a difficult class. There are about 3 quizzes all in Essay type questions & midterm then another quizzes & final all in essay type. a lot of memorization. Each week you have to write paper of 400 wards. If you want to get good grade do not take this class.

Ted is the best math teacher I've ever had. He is always willing to help out if you don't understand something and keeps in contact with the class via weekly emails (I took the online classes). I went out of my way to take all of my required math prerequesites with Ted because he is just awesome. I highly recommend you take his class.

I never attended that class but was able to get a good score. READING THE TEXTBOOK IS MUST! His quizzes are short but you need to textbook for the facts! 5 questions but he drops one so you only need to do 4. Review sessions are always the day before and those are helpful. He takes attendance everyday. His lectures are easy to fall asleep to!

Ted was a very helpful teacher but online class sucks. I DO NOT SUGGEST the online math class. You will be TEACHING YOURSELF and it is almost like you have no teacher at all..no classmates to talk to..you have to go in to the tutoring center to get help. Hawkes learning system is the worst, it is the program you use. I do not suggest.

Ted is a great person. His teaching style is easy to understand, and he doesn't mind repeating things multiple times until it is clear. Really enjoyed the class. A lot of the tips that he thought in class I still use.

Ted Coskey's online math class was good; the book was good because you can go back and 'hear' it again if you didn't get it the first time. In the middle of the quarter, I got shingles. I emailed him and he worked out a schedule for me to take my tests and final, all within guidelines, too. Great teacher! I'm taking him this fall, too.

Professor Ted taught me that the milky way is not just a candy bar, but a vast collection of stars that Tony the bank robber liked! He sure didn't like being on camera when we were to be taped not listening to the lesson and talking about what Scott Hall did the night before on Nitro! HEY Yo! I never bought the textbook! Nice School!

Well, he sure loved Star Trek and eating his lunch from a lunchbox. I learned that we all come from space and that the big bang theory was an explosion in the sky that people ran away from. I also learned that Carlos saw a giant burrito shaped UFO while mowing someones lawn up in the mountains. Nice going dummy!! Here's a shout out to Chuck Brooks.

Ted is a remarkably nice guy. He is very helpful to his students. There is only a couple of things that I have issues with: 1) This class is very self taught & will require a lot of extra time studying the textbook 2) He has a tendency to mumble, speaks very quietly and seems to be very unsure of how he gets his answers from his examples.

Awesome Professor who is truly passionate about what he is teaching. You really have to study the textbook, and conduct extra research, but since the information is vital, it is worth the work, especially learning how to build a fallout shelter and about the toxic dump at Hanford. This class is great with ENV 150.
