Comment:

Dr. Conover is an awesome professor. Her class is tough, but it's all in your best interest. She gives extra credit using "projects" that aren't too tough. Homework is lengthy, but you need to do it to get a good grade. Her write-out questions on the test come from your homework. It's hard but not impossible. Do the work outside of the class!

Comment:

One of the better professors in the acct dept. The class has lots of points which means even if you don't do well on the exams, you can still do decently in the class as long as you stay on top of the other assignments. She also gives a lot of extra credit. I got a B despite doing poorly on the exams.

Comment:

She is a sweet person but she teaches as if you already know the material she is talking about. The exams are really tough. You have to read the book thoroughly in order to have an attempt at passing. The homework assignments are extremely long. You have to work hard for a B.

Comment:

You won't be disappointed if you take Dr. Conover. She has a love for accounting that is contagious. To do well in her class you have to stay on top of the Connect assignments and read the book religiously. She also gives pop quizzes which are basically how she takes attendance so they are 100% participation grades. TAKE HER!

Comment:

Dr. Conover is really nice professor who cares about students. However, she could be tough sometimes because she wants you to learn. So the homework and quizes are super easy. However, the test is really hard. She could have multiple choices over things barely talk in the class or note. Recommend her for students who like to learn more detail.

One of the toughest classes I have taken. Test are difficult and weighted heavily. Make sure you study the CIA books she puts in the library prior to the exams. There is one semester long group project and a couple presentations. However, due to the difficulty of the exams, she grades the rest of the assignments fairly easily.

Is not clear on criteria and what is expected from you. Does not tell you how to effectively study for test. She didn't create the section for our class until the last week of school, so you never know of your progress or grades in the class. She does have a passion for teaching and want students to genuinely do well.

My entire class was external auditors, but we had to learn a ton about internal audit. For tests, study all the CIA book questions. Some were word for word. She grades the audit throughout the semester super easy. Overall, not a bad class. Did nothing outside of class except the week things were due.

Conover is a tough teacher, but she is fair. When she says you have to put in a lot of extra time outside of class, she means it. She uses some of the test bank questions on her tests and the write out ones come from homework. She does provide quite a bit of extra credit for going to the career fair, org meetings, etc.

Teresa definitely knows her stuff but she is very tough on her students. Be prepared to do 15 hours per week outside of class to pass. She has lots of projects and group work that is hard to do if you are a student who also works part time. She takes attendance through random quizzes. She doesn't upload anything online. Good Luck

She is awesome and I would highly recommend taking her. Read what she tells you to read before the exams and attend class. She is really helpful and actually wants students to succeed. I and all of my friends received A's in her class just by attending class and reading notes before the exam. She has a lot of easy points so take advantage of them.

Just avoid her. No other option for 3120 this year or I would have. The entire chapters are fair game on the exam. She won't teach all of it so find time to read poorly explained material in the book between your online homework, quizzes, and 3-4 other classes.

Dr Conover has a reputation for being a hard woman, but she is actually very helpful and open-minded when she sees someone working hard. She does not like slackers. She is very knowledgeable, I've learned a lot from her other than internal audit. I highly recommend taking her class if you are willing to work hard and want a good teacher.

She expects alot from her students. This class is alot of work. You have to study alot for the exams. study everything given. i got an A. but I worked hard. Projcets are hard but doable. Most of it is group work. Only thing you have to really worry about is the sachiko project. Overall she is nice and I would recomend her if u have to taker her

Not a fan of her. Read the chapter before class, still got lost during the semester. Not very forgiving, so don't look for it. Strict teacher, her way or the highway.
