Dr. Grant is my mentor. I took him for 305, 405 and 482. He is tough but fair. He really cares about you succeeding as an accountant, and pushes you to learn. I am very sad that he has left SM, and those students in Fullerton are very lucky. I miss him tremendously. He gave me lots of insight to life as a CPA in and out of class.

In my opinion, Grant was a much better professor for Acct 482 than he was for Acct. 305. He was a nice guy but I can't say I'm upset he's going to Fullerton.

Grant does not give study guides for his exams, and the exams are challenging. There is a lot of material to learn in this course, so count on extra time devoted to studying. HW isn't collected and he does grade exams on a curve.

He expects way too much! He flies thru his lectures and then expects everyone to catch on right away. He throws in questions on the homework and tests to confuse you. He expects you to get the concept of accounting when there isn't enough time spent to fully get it that quickly.

for 305, this is the best teacher to take. the class doesn't seem that tough if you take the time to study and understand the chapters and keep studying 5 days a week. he'll make complicated stuffs look easy to comprehend. Do the best u can and you'll pass or at least a B.

Grant is one of the best accounting teacher at CSUSM. This class is very difficult but makes me want to go to class everyday because he's a good teacher. Don't take Kovacic, he's just full of talk but no depth so you won't understand. Grant is the Guy. He makes you understand and he's very clear...

Grant is one of the best accounting prof. at San Marcos. He is very clear and is genuine about wanting the students to understand. Very approachable and fun class. In 305 you have to work your butt off, but you will learn a lot. 405 is a little more laid back & not as hard, but effort is needed.

this is abeast of a class. their are no winners here. Kiem is good, but cumulitive final. Grant curves, and then curves at the end for the whole class. will take time to help, if you make time. will throw in multiple choice randomly, so read and stay up on it. overall good prof. take him

He doesn't explain the stuff well at all! He uses a lot of powerpoint and then the homework is put on transparencies. He flies through it so you cannot write down any of the answers. He does not collect homework and curves a great deal but overall, he doesn't clarify stuff for you.

Dr. Grant is the best prof for this class. take if you want to succeed and pass the CPA. DO NOT TAKE KOVACIC. Grant's lecture is way better than anyone else. group study for this class won't work unless your partner and you are both studying. it's easy to pass his class.

he is a very good teacher. the class is easy if you do the homeworks again and again until u finally memorize how to do it. its a hard class but if you practice doing the homeword regularly then you'll pass his class for sure.
