If you like to be challenge then go ahead and take boyd. If you want an easy A with less stress take someone else. Boyd is not my type of teacher. His tests are difficult so be prepare to study your butt off for that. Overall I don't recommend boyd at all!!!!

Pretty awesome professor, he really does enjoy this subject and he teaches it quite well. His tests can be a little difficult, but if you attend class and read the book you should get As and Bs. One of the most enjoyable classes I have taken at CSUF.

Boyd was awesome! He loves what he teaches and is enthuastic during his lectures. He tests can be difficult but just study. I really enjoyed him. He was easily to contact via e-mail or during his office hours. I highly recommend him.

Prof. Boyd was awesome. He is one of the best teachers I've had at CSUF. Seriously. He is totally funny too...makes it much more interesting and fun to go to class. He gives you fun in-class assignments and homework that aren't hard at all. He gives you a detailed study guide and he is super fair. His final isn't cumulative either.

GREAT TEACHER! He's really passionate about his subject and just a nice guy. Homework is easy but tests are moderately hard. You have to actually read the book to do well on the tests. Even though the tests are multiple choice watch out because he's clever at wording them to really test your understanding.

I am surprised by all of his comments thus far. This class was fun and I learned a lot. The book is almost like reading a magazine! A lot of in-class activities that are pretty easy and kinda fun. His tests are straightforward and you use the book and his lectures to study. He loves when you ask questions and he wants you to do well. Tests are MC.

Hard class. Group project is way to hard. Gave me a "D". I would not recommed him to take sports marketing. If you have chance then wait for good instructor. I dont think he will teach this class in the spring 09. Wonder who will teach.Anyhow, over all, tricky exams, many students dropped him during the semester. Would'nt recommed him for any class

by far the hardest instructor i have seen, his exams is extremely tricky, u think u know the answer but u will be wrong, trust me. I am an "A" student and find his class hard. Also PLEASE DONT BUY NEW BOOK, if u have friends who can lend u or sell u, BUY IT !! much better than to buy new book. Dr. Boyd will tell u to buy, trust me, dont buy it...

Tests are really hard and somewhat tricky. A lot of info to cover. 3 exams, 4 inclass assignments, 6 homework. if you do take, make sure you do all assignments and homeworks!! his study guides and powerpoints are useless. READ THE BOOK!!

Took in Fall 2007. Didn't really like marketing at all but he made subject pretty fun. Lectures are always interesting. Uses powerpoint but doesn't really refer to it much. Tests however are pretty tricky, study the terms and know how they would apply in the real world. Don't just memorize. Got a B. Just studied one or two days before. Good Teacher

Thought this class would be fun and interesting. Hardest MKTG class I have ever taken. This guy has the biggest ego I have ever seen in a professor. Always thinks he is right and knows everything about sports. He thinks the Lakers fan base is going to deplete in time. Major Detroit bias on sports. Very hard grader. Do not recommend this guy.
