Mr. Holman gave me the tools to become a great writer and I have a solid foundation for my writings throughout the rest of my college career if you do the work show up for class and backup your ideas with facts and articles then you'll pass if you don't feel like coming to class then why are you even in school

Comment:

Might come across as a jerk, he is nice and other times funny. It was a class climate change when he walk through that door (in a good way).I really enjoyed the short stories and poems we did and would have enjoyed to do more like the lottery and selfie. It being a summer class only 2 months but I would have like more time to work on my essays.

Holman is definitely an easy A. There is no way you will not get an A unless you just do not turn your work in. I don't feel as if I learned a lot but I got a 97 so I am happy. No extra credit but you don't need it. As long as you do it and follow the instructions, he will give you a good grade.

I took his online class, and it was fairly easy. There were a few papers and readings, nothing unbearable. He gave nice feedback on my papers and I received an A.

Comment:

This was by far the worst class experience, so far, in my college endeavor. Class time was mostly spent hearing him rant about his personal beliefs about politics. His constant berating of America was very disturbing and, in my opinion, inappropriate for a class room setting. If you do not agree with his political views prepare to be rebuked.

Professor Holman has great control of his classroom. He is very serious when it comes to following his instructions. If you do not follow his instructions properly the whole class gets "dressed down". That is a good thing, too. He taught me to read, write, and decipher the meaning of famous art with our classroom book, Framing America.

At the beginning I was very confused. His syllabus was very unorganized and he kept changing the due dates. Over all he was a great professor, very funny, great sense of humor. I loved his class he made everything fun. I would take him again if needed be.

He makes you comfortable in class room, his funny and give you good amount of time on your homework assignments. If you need help you can stay after class to talk to he. I have taken him in both English Comp. 1 & 2.

His syllabus is atrocious, hard to read and it lacks assignment structure and no grading scale. His feedback looks like he copies and pastes from a notepad. His grading is pretty easy, just complete the assignment with a semblance of effort and you'll pass. E-mail response is about 1-2 days. He says the book is required but we didn't use it.

Professor Holman is an amazing professor. He cares about all of his students and is hilarious. I took him for American Humanities and learned a lot.

Doesn't even have the courtesy to tell a student they purchased the wrong book on the first day of class (you looked at my book), a mistake made by RSC Bookstore staff upon assisting said student. Course is not hard it's just the professor trying to make examples out of students. Very unnecessary and petty of a professor.

He is my favorite professor at Rose. If you don't do the work or pay attention, you'll lose your "4.0". Otherwise, he was always fair, fun and exciting. I hated colonial art until he presented it. I wish I could take this class again!

This isn't a difficult class, but it you put forth the effort you'll still be told you're doing something wrong! If you ask him how to improve your writing he will tell you to relax and WON'T explain why you received the particular grade, but would rather tell you to relax and that a few points aren't important. When they ruin your 4.0 they are!

Professor Holman is what every english student need to learn, appreciate lit., and have fun in the class room all together. He is very deligient teacher, always in class, and full sense of humor which what we need! you'll learn so much from this guy, ill take his humanity class next time!

GREAT PROFESSOR! He has an extremely entertaining class, and teaches from a variety of resources. He showed films, powerpoints, lectures, and presentations. He is pretty lenient on his grading. I took his American Humanities and learned so much. He cares so much for his students, offers extra credit, and is very funny as well.

If you are looking to succeed in class, Mr. Holman is the professor to have. Mr. Holman is very clear in his expectations in his class. He has a GREAT sense of humor and makes class a memorable experience. He is an awesome teacher and willing to help you out. Best of the best ... oh, and did I mention he is hot? :-) LOL!
