Comment:

Lectures go incredibly fast and are unrealistically content heavy if you don't have a good understanding of the material before going in. Nobody in a normal 2nd year bio courseload has the time to do the readings each week so everyone in lecture is left shaking their heads, unable to understand most of what Bendena is trying to convey. Hard course

His final online exam consisted of only 26 multiple choice questions which seemed easy at first, but most of them were trick questions. The lecture material he thought us was really dry so I dont get why people are complaining about how monotone he is. Overall not the best prof around, but those online TRICK midterms are not my cup of tea

Great guy with interesting lectures. Loved all his jokes and puns that he threw in and I thought that he presented the material in a very clear way. If you ask him a question when he says "any questions?" at the end of lecture you will make his day.

this guy is awesome pawsome. His corny jokes are at maximum capacity everyday but none of his lectures are barely understandable. Textbook use is highly recommended before taking quiz/exam

You can tell he really tries to make his course interesting, it just isn't. He attempts to work jokes in, and you feel guilty for not engaging more, but he will still put the auditorium to sleep. Great guy though.

wow... did you all take the same class i did? i will agree that Dr. Bendena is a really nice prof and very approachable, but i found 318 terribly hard and the most boring set of lectures i've ever had to sit through. might have been because i'd never taken an MBIO course prior and the exam was changed from MC to short and long answer

This Prof is soooooo HOT! He's sizzling, like a wok!!!! He has inspired me to pursue a career in molecular biology, he knows exactly what he's talking about and is an awesome teacher, I learned soooo much in his class, more than any other biology classes, i.e. BIOL102, 103, 205, 206 :P As Gwen Stanfi would say: "The Sh*t is Bendenas, BENDENAS!!!
