He's a wonderful professor! He's really helpful when it comes to essay and he's definitely not strict about due dates. I took his class Freshman year first semester and it was amazing. Just show up to his class and you'll pass. His essay and test isn't hard at all!

Comment:

His classes feel like forever but he is a great guy. He is always helping his students, hes not strict with due dates. 5 essays, a couple quizzes. Go to class, it means a lot to him. Overall, I would take him again. Hes better than other writing professors.

Comment:

Amazing professor, very caring to all his students. Gave me one of his own textbooks when I accidentally lost mine. Really helpful towards essays, not much of a tough grader, only cares if you learn the concept. Gives lots of reading, but his class is very worth it and you will improve your writing by a lot.

He genuinely cares and has amazing insight. He is a tough grader but is also very fair. He helps us revise our essays in class before getting our final grade so essentially, if you work for it, you will do well. He asks for our feedback and is not your typical teacher in the best way.

Only grades were the quizzes, essays, and discussion leader assignment, but you do not know any of your grades until he posts it on canvas at the end of the semester, which was very annoying. The only grades he give back are the essays, which were not easy As.

Professor Quirk is a great professor and very insightful about the literary texts we read in class, even if his insights sometimes are confusing or go over your head a bit. He only wants to help when it comes to writing and will offer a ton of assistance if you need it; fair grader and definitely a great class to take for BHP kids.

Great professor. Was willing to help you in any way you could. Was lenient on due dates if you were having trouble with the assignments. Had weekly quizzes on the reading, but were not too hard.Plays a music video at the beginning of each class to start of the class on the right vibe. Overall funny, intelligent professor. Definitely take!!!

Comment:

The best teacher for BHP. He is so helpful and really taught me how to write. He is great about helping with paper topics and tries to make the class as interesting as possible by showing music videos every day and having a lot of class discussions. Quirk is also just a really nice person. Definitely take his class!

Professor Quirk is the coolest teacher I've had at Rider so far. He's a tough grader, but because of that I have become a much better writer. He really cares about his students and he is extremely helpful in shaping an idea for a paper. I have him again next semester for BHP 150 and I'm really excited for it!

So, Prof. Quirk is a cool cat. He is an excellent teacher, and teaches his students how to think more than any other college professor I have had so far. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn in college and write well.
