This is my 2nd time taking Professor Vava as he preferred to be called, His one of the best Professor in the BCC campus, All you have to do is pay attention in his class and take as much notes as possible! Hes lectures are awesome and you will learn so much from him!

VERY KNOWLEDGABLE!!! I ENJOYED THE CLASS AND THE WAY IT WAS PRESENTED. YOU CAN SEE RIGHT AWAY WHEN SOMEONE IS A GOOD TEACHER. I THINK QUEENS COLLEGE COULD USE MORE PROFESSORS LIKE HIM. BUT I HEARD HE IS LEAVING.

Excellent professor. Knows his history inside and out, and he is able to explain them in a very clear way. Only downfall here is you got to memorize all the dates. But again, if you want an A, that is the challenge work you have to overcome. Otherwise just passing the course is a piece of cake.

An amazing teacher! Not only does he knows his history cold, he also presents it in a way that is clear and VERY entertaining, even if you are only takeing it as a requirement. Has a great sense of humor and gets you involved ithe class. Not too difficult but you do have to study. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Dr. Roczniak should be a full-time prof! The reviewers that say he is brilliant are right--MASTERY of the material, does not need notes, and can recite the life dates of major and minor figures in history! Friendly, funny, and engages the class--lectures are like stories! Midterm, 1 Paper, Final.

It's a difficult class with lots of dates to memorize, but this is college. It's not going to be an easy A, but if you put in the work you'll do very well. He makes the class interesting and exciting, and you can always ask him questions. Cute, personable, friendly; you won't be disappointed.

I always thought that history was boring and uninteresting but that all changed when I took his class. You will be surprised as to how much fun you will have learning from him. He sets high expectations from his students but is very warm and friendly. You will wish he taught all of your classes.

He has the gift of being able to really absorb you into the material. There is a lot of work involved but he explains it very clearly and is always happy to answer questions. He has a contagious passion for history. We need more professors like him, it is truly a pleasure to take his classes.

Modern Europe 1500-1815: learned alot! - we had no homework- just studied notes (a lot of them) but he was entertaining and the exams were just memorization of definitions (not difficult)I would strongly recommend this class - if you need a history
