chef al is awesome. he has a great sense of humor and refuses to harken back to the 70's kitsch that invades so much of our industry. we need leaders for teachers, not followers and chef al definitely qualifies as a leader.

i had chef al for both gm 1 and 2.for gm 1 i didnt very much of him, mostly because of attitude and ways of teaching,but by gm2 i understood him more and realized he's the real deal when it comes to working with chefs in reality.Chef al definately deserves the title of Chef.Great knowledge on both sides of the knife.
