He is a nice professor don't get me wrong but his teaching style isn't for most, unless you like getting talked at. It is his way or the highway when you take his class. He doesn't know how engage his students at all. My class went from 40 students to a solid 8-10 depending on the day. If that doesn't speak for its self i don't know what would.

If you struggle with math or are taking other classes do not take this class. He assigns so much homework every week, and gives you packets of lecture notes that arent the slightest bit helpful. In a 2.5 hour class he gives one 10 min break and lectures down to the very last second. Not engaging at all. I found it very hard to pay attention.

He is very lecture heavy, not too bad with attendance. However he lectures for almost 3 hours non stop and rarely asked if the students understood the lecture. If you mess up a part of the answer on a test he will deduct a half of the points. Do not take if you find math already difficult.

Professor Roebuck was nice for the most part, and was understanding when the occasional innocent mistakes were made. However, the grading criteria was ridiculous and very hard to understand. He also lectured way too quickly and it was too difficult to keep up with him during lecture. Lastly, he was very monotone and boring. I would not take again.

I took this class (with this professor and at 7:30 AM) because it fit my schedule. Little did I know that I would have to withdraw halfway through the semester or fail. I wasn't able to understand so I lived in the MSC and SI. Even if I got the right answer on the test, I'd get marked off if I didn't use his formula that I couldn't understand.

He is very good about showing you how to do the problems. Have a question? He will answer it. LOTS OF HOMEWORK but you can turn it in at anytime the day its due (even if he isnt in his office) for full credit.

Professor Roebuck is something else. He's a good teacher no doubt, wouldn't want to take that way from someone... He has lots of downsides though. I had 410 with him and he managed to make a fairly easy class absolutely terrible. He doesn't want you to solve problems your own way because only his way is correct? And he is also not inspiring either

Worst professor I've ever had. Your main grades are tests and quizzes, and if you don't answer problems his way on the exams you get little to no credit. He lectures for two hours with his back turned to you, doesn't engage much with students, and doesn't seem all that friendly one-on-one. Would not recommend taking if you struggle with math.

If you like a no nonsense, very logical teacher and you already love math, Prof Roebuck is for you. His notes are great. He expects you to do a lot on your own. And there is no messing around. Your grade is your grade. He wasn't what I needed as I really struggle with math but he is very professional and he knows his stuff.

At first I didn't like the professors method of teaching because he expected the students to know many things. However he did help me recognize patterns for mathematical conversions, e.g. Trig substitutions, which has helped me a lot in my other math classes. Though I do warn other students he is a very difficult professor! Though I did learn a lot

Sorry to say but he isn't a good teacher. He seems fine at first but as the semester progresses you are lost. His lectures are an on going two hour of him talking and you copying what he writes on the board. There is very little class participation which doesn't help in a math class. Mostly everyone in my class failed/dropped it/didn't show up.

Roebuck is a hard grader and never has grades available to check on, if you need to know your grade often, don't take him. He has monotone voice and is never engaging in his class, it's basically get the lecture done and get out. His tests are extremely hard.

I'm fairly good at math but struggled so much in this class. He is an awful teacher who uses his own formulas instead of the ones you've been taught to go by. He grades very harshly so even if you do pay attention it makes it hard to pass. He also does not calculate any grades until the end of the semester which is frustrating to say the least.

He prefers it his way. He also does not teach very well in that it is hard for him to explain certain concepts. I found that the textbook that was required taught me more than he did and allows me to actually learn the concepts. Homework is a big part of the class since it is math. People who struggle with math might not do well in his class.

This is by far the hardest class I've taken. You have to use his formulas when he gives them. I used the book formula on our last test not his git the right answer but was only credited a quarter of the points for the question. The highest grade our last test was a d out of a majority of the class I asked. Might follow others advice and take the w
