I've had a few math professors (I'm a math major) and I must say with the lack of quality professors at UCI, Sadovsky is one of the better ones. His exams are really easy, and he curves a lot. Granted I took it two years ago. If you can, take this professor! :)

Pro's are that he really seems enthusiastic about the material and teaching it. He TRIES to get people to understand. Con's: he didn't follow the book, taught things that weren't even in our book, hw was based on the way he taught in lecture, (so if you missed some lecture notes or didn't get the way he explained it you were screwed).

This guy gives open note and open book test and quizzes, AND he will replace your final grade with whatever you scored on the final! his final questions are straight from the past midterms! Know the HW, ask for help, REVIEW the midterms, and this class is an easy A. Plus he's a good conceptual teacher who wants you to succeed!

Amazing professor. I really enjoyed the fact that he wanted us to understand the concepts rather than merely memorize formulas. If someone doesn't succeed in his class, it's only because that person didn't study, listen or do any work outside of the class. Wonderful prof and I hope to have him again soon!

He's super nice, and so enthusiastic about math. You can tell he enjoys what he does. Our second midterm was surprisingly hard, but all the test questions are based off homework. He likes to make sure you REALLY understand, and if you ask him to explain something differently, he will. I would take from him again for sure.

He tries to teach but he's too wordy and sometimes he doesn't make sense because he would take an hour to explain a concept that should only take 10 minutes to be understood!

i thought alex was a good teacher...well at least i saw his effort. midterms are the the homework problems! and its open book open notes... just do the homework and the class will be a piece of cake. if your grade on the final exam is better than your overall grade than he will use your final exam. why is everyone hating? hes pretty good.

Explains concepts in confusing ways. Took calculus in high school and found my teacher to have explained the material much easier and clearer than he did/does.

He's a pretty terrible teacher. Talks down to the class and doesn't really teach much. His homework is mandataory, but most of the quiz/midterms are based off of it. Not a terribly easy class.

Not a good teacher at all! Agree with the strange facial expressions, he likes to smile and bobbles his head a lot. He isn't very clear on explanations. Rarely uses the textbook. He uses words more than numbers to describe things. Although his quizzes, midterms and finals are open notes and book his point values per problem is difficult.

Looks at the class as a group of idiots. Doesn't try to help the students very much. Doesn't give a very welcome attitude. Obviously doesn't care for the student's well being. He needs to go do research somewhere instead of being in a classroom.

GRAD STUDENT! Does not present material clearly. Egotistic...Always comments on how he doesn't like the books method of explaining and plugs in his own style. Very strange facial expressions also...
