She does not care about her students. Literally gives you homework that doesn't even have to be right. You have to put in the effort that you should be receiving from her. She literally can't teach and rushes through topics. If you get lost, consider yourself done. AVOID IF YOU CAN !! She really is not your best option imo the worst!!!!!

If you are looking for a professor that will explain STATs, do not take this course if you are not familiar with STATs and have never taken a STAT course before. This professor is lazy, she uses PPT slides to write all on the slides on the board. Her explanations leave you more to be desired. HW's are lengthy- I taught myself.

Honestly Professor Dejesus wasn't that bad. She's fairly clear with her grading rubric and is accessible through email/office hours. Her tests aren't too difficult if you pay attention to the class examples, she doesn't throw any curveballs. If you suck at stat I would try to take someone else but if you have some knowledge of it, it should be easy

I feel that because this class was hybrid, many students didn't put in a lot of effort. Her HW problems are pretty much the exam. Make sure to do them and review them before each exam. She even gives you the formulas that you will . what more could you want? Although she isnt the best prof, she makes up for it by making her exam fairly easy

Bad. She has a thick accent that really confused me to understand what she was talking in class. Don't take this professor, it is like if she likes some students they will get the good grades, if you are not on her good students list then you are dead. Lol, was it called discrimination? Anyway pick another professor if you can .

Horrible professor, as other said she literally just reads PPT slides and does not add anything or explain it. However you will learn from Statlab and tests are similar to HW. I made the mistake of taking her because of scheduling, only as a last resort.

I was a bit frightened to take this class but i thought it was a breeze. first midterm was super easy, second was a bit challenging, and the final was a giveaway. Deff recommend this prof. Also, it is math intensive, so if you are not good at math chances are you wont do well in ANY statistics class. the hws were a bit demanding and time consuming.

Waste of your time, stay away! Reads from the notes, but seems like she doesn't know jack from it. Gives quizzes, but it's clearly not from her since she doesn't even know the right answers most of the time. Seriously, teachers like this shouldn't exist in graduate school, waste of my time and money!

She does all she can to give you an A; she even gives you all the needed formulas during tests. You have to put a serious effort into failing this class. While some students complain about her personality, most of them are lazy and disrespectful. She is a strong woman who demands respect from her students but will go out of her way to help you.

She is really nice i will give her that but when it comes to teaching she doesnt really do much. In her class she goes over the slides word for word so u pretty much can do that yourself. Midterm & Final & online HW and 1 excel. Tests are not MC so you better know what you r doing, and way too many questions. Read textbook yourself for tests.

Prof. Alvarado is a nice person, friendly and kind. Too bad for us students that she is completely lacking teaching skills. The class was held in a very confusing style. She would jump from one thing to another, often getting lost herself, making simple things confusing. The material for this class is not difficult, but she will add confusion to it

she comes in and start writing on white board does not explain how things work. messes grading of exam and then use excuse that its a curve. Final is was just insane please think before you take her you can learn STAT from youtube and googling.

she's really nice and friendly, her teaching method was really good in the beginning but, it started to go awry later on. Can't miss a class though. She's always willing to help you, just ask. Don't slack, talk to her. Don't make excuses like "my health is bad, I can only do the hwk a week after it's due" It's a hard class but talk to her!

If you didnt do well in this class, then its YOUR fault. She explained everything clearly, was very fair with grading, and gave a good review before tests.
