It's math, it's hard, but Kohler made it better. For my class he gave us dates to retake things we did poorly on if you came to class, he gives little quiz questions at the end of class but they aren't terribly hard. Overall, I would say take him 100% but show up to class and do your work. One of the best math teachers I've ever had.

He's the best professor I've had at KSU. All the tests and quizzes are taken online, except for the final. Each test and quiz has 2 tries so there's no reason for someone not to do well. He's a good professor, but he does have a strong German accent which may be hard for some to understand.

Great professor. All tests and quizes are online and you get 2 tries for each. There is no way you cant get an A because of this.

He's a great professor. He's quirky, but it becomes endearing towards the end of the semester. Very clear in his expectations, and he'll give partial credit when you ask for it. Quiz/test questions come mostly from homework, so mastering the homework is important. There's always a quiz at the end of class, but it's never too hard. Highly recommend!

Professor Kohler is one of those that really just grow on you as the semester passes by. He's really a funny guy (weird sense of humor, though) and even though he can come off as a little harsh, he will truly try and help you. Make sure you always make it to class, if your grade is falling at the end of the semester he will definitely help you!

I enjoyed taking this class although Calculus is not my strongest skill. You basically earn your grade on MyMathLab. You can take quizzes and tests twice so there is no reason why you cannot get a passing grade. He gives pop quizzes so showing up to class is pretty mandatory. Funny guy with a strong accent and a great professor.

He has a strange sense of humor, very straightforward about what he expects from his students and uses MyMathLab for all homework, 3 tests and roughly half of the quizzes (the other half are pop quizzes in class). He uploads his notes but they are missing 90% of the info which means you need to show up to fill in the rest.

Great math professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but he gives pop quizzes and if you don't show up to class youll have a bad quiz grade.

Kohler is a great professor and makes Calc really easy to understand. He gives you two tries for every quiz and test. All the quizzes and tests are online except for the final. He also gives pop quizzes at the end of the class, so if you don't go to class you will get a bad quiz grade.

Easy class. Homework/Quizzes/Tests ALL online. Final in class. You have 2 attempts on all quizzes and tests, ?'s come from homework. You will be taking notes the entire class period. Very helpful if you have a question at the end of class. Like others said, he DOES have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, but it is hard not to enjoy his class. Takehim

He is very helpful, clear in his notes, if you copy them, and he will answer questions, now if it was a dumb question he will make fun of the student, but if you get to know him, you know he is just messing with you not trying to hurt you. He is very understanding, and has a sense of humor. I would not recommend any teacher more highly.

I've found him helpful in general. He's trying to make sure the students understand the concepts. He will explain why one thing is and is not something. His sense of humor helps to lighten up the subject material.

Had Kohler for two semesters, loved every minute of it. His sense of humor is great! Ignore the comments about him making fun of you when you ask questions... usually it really was a stupid question, and he/she deserved to be made fun of. Definitely pay attention in class though.

Professor Kohler was a great teacher. The class wasn't easy but its set up so you will surely pass if you do the work and attend class as often as possible. The class consists of 4 tests, 1 final, multiple quizzes and homework. He takes your quiz average to replace your lowest test grade. Very helpful and funny. I would recommend him.

He makes math so easy if you just attend class and take notes every time. Do not use your phone in his class because he will call you out and embarrass you. Very funny also.

He is very fair. Wants students to succeed. Very funny. I enjoyed his class even if I hate math, though I still got the top grade in the class. Some reviews are unfair for him. Math is not easy no matter who teaches it. I'd recommend him for all math classes if I could.

This course is harder than 1190! I wish I had known that when I signed up. If you have the choice between 1106 and 1190 then take 1190! Quizzes, homework, exams through my math lab (that saved me). Last exam and comprehensive final in class. We NEVER opened the text book. If you are a math person you may do well, if not then you will study daily.

He is an excellent teacher. Witty, friendly, and able to convey the material in a meaningful way. Students only felt stupid if they weren't listening and he had to repeat himself on basic concepts that should have been grasped much earlier on.

Great teacher. Fair, friendly, and seem to care about your education.Test questions are from homework and quizzes online. Subject is not easy and but this professor is probably the best you can get at KSU. Sarcastic and funny. Nothing wrong there.
