Prof. Birt is knowledgable and challenges you to dig deep into the subject matter. I learned a lot from this class. On the other hand, you get unnecessarily deep into the subject matter with the sheer volume of work required. You must contort yourself to hit all her very specific and challenging checkboxes for success.

I disagree with the last rating. Dr. Birt made the class enjoyable and interesting. She used lots of in-class demonstrations and had us complete discussion assignments, which helped me learn a lot. She is a very helpful prof and a nice person.

She's really nice, but I HATED the course. Honestly, I attended 5 lectures the entire term because she read right off her slides. And when I say 5 lectures I'm not exaggerating...and I'm not the type to skip lectures. As a prof, she is ok, as a person she's great. Very nice and understanding

Dr. Birt is a great prof. I loved going to her lectures, and her mid-terms and exams are highly based on her lecture notes. She made the material interesting, and was available outside of class for help. The only thing was we sped through the material a little too quickly, that's because it was a half-year course, when it really should've been full
