Comment:

Super sweet and makes you really love the language even more (if that's even possible). She has a great way of explaining things. Do your homework! I sometimes forgot to do the homework, and its probably the reason I got an A- and not an A or A+, so be sure to check the syllabus and OFTEN. She's willing to help you if you go to her office hours.

Attendance is mandatory! Def need to show up to class to understand material thoroughly. She is very interactive with you in class to keep you paying attention and on track. Lots of hw but its needed to understand. Quizzes are usually easy, probably should refresh for exams. Chose her for 3 semesters straights, super sweet! I loved her!!

After taking her class she made want to go back to a HBCU. She would be like you might get credit if you do late work. She gives out way to much homework and its only 10%. Her study guides are nothing like the test. She only has a few multiple choice.

I've taken Dr. Borisoff for Spanish 1 & 2 and she is an awesome professor! There is a ton of homework as well as in-class assignments but it really helps a lot in the end. Attendance is also super important because if you miss a day, you'll get behind. She expects a lot from you and participation matters! Will be taking her for Spanish 3 & 4.

Borisoff is an okay professor. She talks to us like we are idots though and can be snappy and sassy. She also asks for a lot of your time outside of class, so be prepared. She does care about you as a student though. If you are already pretty strong in Spanish you should be fine.

Dr. Borisoff is the only Spanish teacher that I have been able to learn from. However, this may be in part because she makes you do your homework, which there is homework due every single class, and she takes attendance every class as well. If you don't like showing up or doing homework, don't take her. You will fail. The textbook is required.

Great teacher... If you're in kindergarten. No, but seriously she speaks to her students as if they are five-years-old. She is decent at the actual teaching part (if you can get over her high-pitched, annoying way of speaking to you). For me, all I hear when she speaks is a squeaky "yip. yip. yip.". Luckily, Spanish comes easy to me without her.

I love Dr. Borisoff! I was hesitant to take Spanish 1 because I struggled in high school. But Dr. Borisoff presented the information in an easy way and was super helpful. There was a lot of homework and Websam work but that is how you learn. She was available if you needed help and very understanding. Come to class and try and you will do great!

BEST SPANISH TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD!!!! I didn't realize how good I had it when I had Borisoff. You'll learn so much and she's always there to help. If you email her before hand about missing classes bc of sickness or whatever she'll meet with you during her office hours to make sure you get the same info the class did. Great professor.

Do not skip this class. There's so much material to learn and I promise you'll be looking at a C for your highest grade possible if you skip. Gives a ton of homework, but it's an interactive lecture. More than willing to help if you ask, and if you participate, she'll help you out. I loved having her and would recommend her to anyone

She has by far been one of my favorite teachers. I've never taken the time to rate a professor but she deserves it! Some activities may seem "childish" but that's because this is a SECOND LANGUAGE course. She's very helpful. GO TO CLASS, participate, do the homework, and follow the textbook. You'll learn quick and easy but you have to be willing!

Dr. Borisoff is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Spanish and is very very helpful and keeps you entertained in class. However, there's homework every night and busy work. Attendance is completely mandatory but her tests are pretty easy and she's pretty lenient with things. She's overall a good professor and you can do well if you try

-A ton of homework every night -gets mad if you don't come to class already knowing the material -You MUST participate to get a good grade It's like a high school course, she treats you like high school students and gives a ton of busy work. Try to take someone else if you can.

Professor Borisoff is the best Spanish professor I've ever had. She is very energetic and enthusiastic. Her lectures are engaging and she makes everyone participate. You definitely won't fall asleep in this class because she makes Spanish fun and very understandable! If you ever need help, shes always there for you! Attendance does matter though.

I have taken 3 semesters of Spanish with Profe Borisoff and I don't regret a single one! She is an amazing professor. In terms of the class itself, she speaks slowly and clearly. She uses a variety of activities to communicate concepts, and if something isn't being understood she'll explain it another way. If you try in class you'll do well!

I absolutely loved taking this class with Profe Borisoff. She is super helpful, speaks slowly and comprehensively when in Spanish, and she is just fun all around. Participate in her class and actually do the homework, and you will do well. I'm in her SPAN1002 class now and I love it. Never taking Spanish with another professor.
