Comment:
I really like Anthony and he is very knowledgeable and shows a passion for films, however, he needs to make it more familiar to those who are not film buffs as it can be a bit overwhelming. Make sure you do the readings as he will quiz you on them. Overall, I don't think he deserves the harsh reviews. There's lots of room for growth and improvement

His power-point slides are pretty informative. I never had to buy the textbook and only borrowed it from someone else when I was writing my essay. He's a hard marker on the essay and exam's essay though.

Not the most confident lecturer, but he gets all the points across well enough. I had no personal interaction with him, but several classmates said that he was very helpful. The tutorial groups were hit and miss, I had a great TA (Dino), but several friends said that they hated theirs (because they marked badly and didn't encourage discussion).

Kinik is apparently new at this course and it's obvious. His lecture notes are very bad, and he often is unclear in the message. He says "um" so much that it is distracting. The movies are alright, but sometimes you just can't help but leave. Tests and assignments are very easy.

I found this class really dry and boring. Don't be fooled. It's very deceiving. A few of the films were good, but mostly left me wanting to run. But make sure to do the readings.

He appears to be in the wrong line of work - to watch him survive a lecture is almost pitiful. Things are quite dull with him around - the only entertainment value is keeping a tally of how many times he says "uh" in one lecture. I once counted up to 287. Clearly confidence isn't his strong point.

Ah, the hearth reading! Yeah, lots of clips, kinda boring, commutes from Montreal, and for the ladies...he's as good as it gets in the world of Carleton profs! Fair marker, good for outside of class time, eats homemade lunch in his dinky office across from Craswell...

Blah! Though this course would be awesome but found him to ruin it. Wasn't helpful, marked VERY unfairly ... left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
