If you're wondering whether the 2.8 overall score he had was accurate, it is. In fact, it's generous. Yes, he's very knowledgable. But he is entirely unhelpful if you need anything. He's also overly strict. Oh, and when you write the paper, which is 25% of the grade, prepare to be critiqued like you're in a senior level English class.

He's pretty tough but you'll definitely learn a lot. Homework at least once a week but it's fairly easy. I passed with a B without much effort.

Do the homework and you'll be fine. His tests are easy if you study. Midterm paper was a bit ambiguous and I felt was graded very hard. His class is a little dry and can be very boring, but he knows what he's talking about.

Very tough teacher. He expects too much from students. Easy to make a B, but very difficult to make an A. He constantly stares at the ceiling, and he is not consistent with his lecture: he goes from one point back to another. Don't take at 8 am.

Steinhoff is a hard teacher, but he'll make sure you get everything. He is a little intimidating at first, however, he is very approachable and will bend over backwards to help you. Once you get use to the style of lecture and the amount of readings he assigns, the classes are enjoyable. He expects participation from you.

He will not be an easy grade, but is that why you went to college? He expects 100% effort and participation. There will be a ton of reading, but you get used to it. Most of the class period consists of group talks. He is a bit odd, but I like it. Do your best, and you will come out a better student. Oh, DO NOT show up late or skip readings.

Tough class. He talks the entire class expect when you have readings due. Must take notes. Only 3 grades in the whole class a midterm, a paper(based off a book), and a final. Do not recommend.

Lectures and especially discussion classes are a must-attend. Tests are tough, but very ace-able with reasonable amounts of study. Dr. S knows his material, and it's clear he loves the subject. I found him to be willing to help and easy to approach.

Very nice teacher!!! Gives opportunities for extra points with discussions of different films. Essays can be hard, but he is very helpful if you have questions. Tests can be hard too, but gives a study guide which is very helpful. Love history, so I love this class. Lots of info. to remember, but every history class has that. Highly recommend!

This will NOT be an easy A. He angered me so badly one day, that I was determined to slap him in the face by acing everything. I did just that! He is hard to follow, and his tests aren't difficult if you study in advance for them. Essays are what get you. I would highly suggest picking another teacher.

I was extremely excited to take this course. That is until I sat through a couple of his lectures. It is very hard to take thorough notes due to his lecture approach (staring at ceiling, strange voice, etc). Avoid if at all possible.

This teacher is ridiculous. He only gives two exams and a paper. The exams are way too hard. A study guide is given, but he gives you over 50 identifications to know and you don't know which ones will be on the test, same with the map. He does not give you an essay topic, he expects you to know what it is when given. I DO NOT recommend him at all.

Lecture's suck, he goes on and jumps from one point to another and then back to the original point. Also there is paper you have to do where you pick a book and write a paper on it. Sounds easy...I'm an English major, but this paper was annoying. Take someone else is you can.
