Comment:

I really like her, shes smart and funny and explains things in ways you are sure to understand. Her exams are very fair. I found it helpful to read the text. Always attend class! She posts slides, but you'll be lost without class. Also, she's one of those rare teachers that actually know you and remember your name. Id recommend her for sure!

taking her this semseter, and she is more than great, helpfull, nice and does not give hard exams, she understands that not all students want to be neurobilogist, take her and you wont regret.

Excellent professor. It is clear that she wants her students to walk away from the class with a clear understanding of the concepts (and not just able to regurgitate facts/parts of the brain), so if that is what you're looking for then she's the prof for you.

She is such a sweet lady! There are two midterms and a final, they all have the same format: 30 MCs, and 3 Long Answers. She gives you the questions that will be on the tests! It is really easy. Oh and, attend class, sometimes she says things that are not in her slides. Or read the book. Your choice.

Comment:

Dr. Woodside gave great lectures, which were both extremely informative and entertaining. She was kind and warm one-on-one. The exams were fair. Students in her lab learn in a familial environment. She is supportive, and will invest in students that demonstrate an eagerness and capacity to learn. We don't plan on leaving her lab anytime soon.

She is a very good teacher, but does expect you to know your****. gives you hard questions, but two weeks before the exam. she will be very helpful THEN at telling you how to answer, but not so if you wait till a few days before the exam. In any case she is very enthusiastic, makes very hard material really easy to understand.

One word:great!She's funny and keeps us interested even at 8h45 in the morning.Gives short answer questions BEFORE the exam so you can prepare and learn by heart.MC for exams (25) are easy. Easy class to listen too, easy exams. Overall, perfect class VERY interesting but a lot of material. If you're no good at 'by heart' stay away.
