Please if you love English..Don't take this class. This man is arrogant, rude, unbending, and talks about himself more than English. I usually do not participate in these things but had to for this one. Run, even if he is the only class open just wait. I love English this was very much a bummer!

This cats a poet just in case you didn't know it, to bad his work needs work.He is a very good teacher, who will sit you down one-on-one and explain in detail your mistakes. He's a great guy, with a great personality. He is very funny. His test are easy and he often allows an outline for them.

Edelman is a great teacher. He's always trying to help, and is way pleasant. You won't get an A unless you really work for it, but getting a B isn't tough. He seems to really care about your success, just make yourself be known to him. Also, he tends to be a bit inappropriate joke-wise. He once said "blew his wad" in reference to a poet. So wrong.

I Loved him, although he could be a bit biased. Fortunately he liked me and was very helpful, although I can see why some people rate him low. Just show up and don't question him you'll be fine. i've taken both poetry and creative writing, bart is a great teacher. students who antagonize him may have gotten on his bad side because he is strick on attendance. this is probably due to how insanely EASY these classes are. very comfortable class/setting/work~ easiest A's i've ever gotten. hes ALWAYS available for rewrites, etc. TAKE HIM :)

This has to be the worst teacher. He favors the smart kids and thinks that he knows everything. All you do is wtie essays and its impossible to recieve an A on these papers. His office hours are like 1 hour on some days. He picks on you if you are not an english genius.

This teacher is terrible, he treats the women in class very differently. if you dont have great interest in poetry he treats you like youre dumb and grades according to how much you agree with his veiws. By midterms more than 20 people had dropped and only one person was getting a well deserved grade. avoid him at all costs.

Wasn't a bad guy, pretty nice, but he grades papers very biast. Poetry was supposted to be open to interpratation, but he graded and TOLD you what you should write. If you wnat to degrade yourself and agree with everything then you get an A.

I don't know why everybody on here says he is egotistic. He is one of the nicest professors i have met. Hes very easy to contact and lets you rewrite 2 essays for a higher grade. Downside: You have to have really good grammatical skills, hes very picky about that. Other than that, he has intersting class discussions and the readings aren't that bad
