Really fun class, she likes to laugh and engage with the students. She can a bit confusing seeing as English is not her first language but if you ask for her to clarify it shouldn't be a problem. The tests can be a bit confusing but overall they're not too bad. As long as you show up, and skim through the readings you should be fine

The toughest class I've ever taken in my college career, and this is a 100 lvl class! Her lectures are useless, but attendance is mandatory. If you raise your hand and ask questions, she will always answer them though. Just make sure you read the book. Everything on the exams and pop quizzes are from the book.

For an introductory level class, this one was difficult and involved a lot of work. Likes to give out pop quizzes from the book, her exams can also be very tricky. Most of the things from her exams are from the book, so make sure to actually buy it and read it. The paper is also pretty long (8 pages) and unclear. Can be funny, skip her if you can.

I read the comments on here and I figured it'll be a fun and easy class... Boy was I wrong. Her notes are messy, she goes off topic a lot, because somehow it relates to the lecture, her tests are hard! Even if you read the book not everything will stick with you. Took over the summer, 4 tests, small assignments, & one 8 page paper. She can be funny

PROF.Hui-Ching Chang is very kind,knowledgeable, approachable, elucidative and I really enjoyed her class unlike some of the other UIC Comm instructors who were not there to teach.

Very easy class. People who want to get easy A go for it. I don?t know why do people complain about tests, they were simple based on book. The best part is ? you don?t have to write long papers, just couple sentences. The bad part is you have to show up for class.

She is ridiculous. When you ask her for help, she doesn't understand why you could possibly need help. You can't read her notes on the board. She constantly talks about the Chinese alphabet. AND HER TESTS ARE SO HARD!

Prof. Chang was an excellent professor, I enjoyed her class and her lectures were very interesting and interactive. She's a very nice very kind women. 4 tests lowest drop, a term paper, attendence important b/c she gave assigenments worth points. SUPER Stirct lateness policy! Need to be on time-even 2 mins was late- or you lose points. excellent!
