There are enough sections of PS 104 offered where you shouldn't have to take it with him. He is ALWAYS right, unhelpful, condescending, unorganized, and confusing. His lectures jumped from topic to topic and he didn't assign any books to supplement his god awful lectures.

I went into PS104 with limited knowledge of the subject because I'm just not a guy who's interested on that topic. Araza's teaching style is mediocre, grade is given from 4 factors: going to class, participation, crossword puzzles and quizzes. Quizzes are on readings with fill-in-the-blank and MC. They were hard in my opinion. I learned a little.

awsome professor knows his material very well is very easy to understand and if you go to his class you will pass. His tests are all multiple choice and they get easier. He is a good professor the comment they say about him are false leading i learned so much with him

I would not recommend this professor. I found his lectures extremely confusing, and after an entire semester of attending class I received a less than mediocre grade. I am very disappointed with the outcome of taking this class.

He is awesome! If you go to class and pay attention and read all the material he you will pass. He is available for office hours before and after class. he has review session for his exams and they are all multiple choice. He can make mistakes sometimes but if you correct him he will listen and he loves a good debate!

The trick to taking a course with Prof. Araza is to attend EVERY class, and listen to his lectures. He makes plenty of errors often, but as long as you listen to and think about what he says you can learn much more than you expected going in.

This professor has attendance mandatory, hard reading quizzes that always have 3/10 questions that aren't on the reading and you just take notes all class until each exam. But the good news is everyone flunks the quizzes and it gets curved. Right now im looking to receive an A so you can too. Tests are multiple choice and easier. Go to class, study

If you can avoid him, do...at all costs. You not only come to hate him as a teacher, but from the stories he tells you about his past, you start to loathe him as a person. He is always right, and good luck with taking notes...it is literally the biggest jumbled mess I have ever seen. He will use a projector, the board, and powerpoint in unison.

Currently taking his class now. He began the semsted with a rehearsed monologue on himself. All I can say is what a jerk! He is completely unclear in his teaching, the notes I took from his lectures are together completely useless as he jumps from topic to topic. He humiliated me when I asked questions and denounced my major-psychology, as useless.

Araza gets a lot of heat for being a terrible teacher when in reality if you show up to class and do the work he isn't that bad. He grades on a pretty generous curve which is extremely helpful. 73, 68 and ?? were my 3 test grades, and I pretty much failed every quiz but showing up and being respectful goes a long way.

I hated this class. The only thing that was good is I probally failed most of the quizzes and tests and still passed with a B- so obvioulsy his grading system makes no sense. He's very full of himself and tells all these storis about how he was on tv knows all these famous people and has all these vintage cars.

Great Teacher. Make sure you take notes in class and do all the extra credit which there is A LOT of and he will add that onto your final grade. Fun class that doesn't just stick to the same old facts. You'll learn lots of random things in a way that's easy to memorize.
