Lectures through all class periods, though that is actually a good thing for me; beware if that isn't for you. Grades all come from attendance and the tests, which are all based heavily on the readings and theory. Easy to follow while lecturing, but does not slow down to allow for note taking, so you have to write fast.

I took this class because I thought it would be interesting. all he did was lecture the whole time with only power points. The power points were lengthy and hard to follow. He would not give us enough time to write everything down. No extra credit and it was only a 100 point class so if you mess up, you're screwed. Choose a different professor.

Schneider is awesome. He made a tough boring class bearable and interesting. He pays attention to his class to ensure we understand each lecture but if you need individual help that's on you, as with any prof. Participation and attendance are key, talk to him and he will give you the benefit of the doubt when grading! Would take him again any time.

I am HORRIBLE at math and knew this class would be a challenge. Bill was so helpful and really helped me to be confident with the material. His study guides were very helpful. He is a very funny teacher. His classes are enjoyable. This class is a challenge, but if you pay attention and work hard it will be enjoyable.

Bill is such a great teacher. He really care about his students. Class participation is KEY, and if you expect an easy A, don't take his classes. 3 Exams, DO THE STUDY GUIDE and you will do great, if you don' get something, just ask him. 2 papers, you will get a much better grade if you take a rough draft to him and then use his comments.

Bill did not seem that interested in teaching the class or the students that were in it. He did seem very knowlegable about the subject but had diffuculty transfering his knowledge to students, the powerpoints he used had a lot of information on them and we had a hard time processing everything he was giving us.

If you're a math person, then you probably won't have much trouble with symbolic logic. If you're not a math person, then it's probably going to be challenging. Schneider is a good teacher, his practice sheets are incredibly useful. I almost never used the textbook. Good class.

This class was very hard. Philosophy is a difficult subject but Dr. Schneider makes the class interesting, lively and does his best too guide you through. I took this class through Winterrim; a full semester wrapped into three weeks. Without Bill as the professor I would not have done as well. Very passionate about subject matter; take his course!

Dedicated, intelligent and caring professor. He really wants to help students understand the material, and goes above and beyond to do so. Participation is very important. I have had him for 4 classes, and loved each one. Usually only 3 exams and 2 papers (as well as attendance) make up your grade. Definitely a great guy!

Great guy, always helpful and extremely intelligent. Dense concepts, but he really makes you understand them. If you don't show up or participate, don't expect a good grade, that is really important to him! 3 exams and 2 papers, otherwise no other work (other than the class readings, which you should do because he asks questions about them!)

He is really good at what he does. I thorougly enjoyed his course. He keeps things interesting by always asking us questions and helping us come to conclusions by ourselves. He adds great meanings to the various philosophical works read in class, and though he is fairly tough grading, he's also very fair. I would recommend him to anyone.
