Baker is definitely my favorite professor at Stark. He does a good job at explaining the material and we always have really good discussions in class. I recommend taking an English class with him if you can.

He runs every class in the exact same manner. 4 tests that a short answer. The lowest grade you get on one of those gets dropped. One creative presentation over anything you read and then one paper over anything you read. Tests are insanely easy as long as you read along and pay attention in class. Paper is the hardest part, but still doable.

I had him for Lit in English II. He was a great teacher. Very flexible with due dates and was always willing to help you out. He made class fun and thats not easy when you're reading poetry! All in all he was a wonderful professor and wish I would have discovered his classes before my senior year of college! A++

Dr. Baker was truly a great teacher and really cared about each student. I had him fall and spring semster and I wish I was taking College Writng II with him as well. Have fun in his class and enjoy how dedicated he is to improve your education. There is not a single doubt in my mind that he does this job just to recieve a pay check. He cares.

Besides my 8th grade English teacher, Baker is the best teacher I've ever had. Wish I could take every class for my major from him, because every class period is great! He truly cares about sharing all aspects of the course guidelines with the student even if he isn't a fan himself. Great sense of humor, great musical taste, all around great guy.

Dr. Baker was one of the best professors I ever had! I am in shock that someone would comment as below me, unless they chose the wrong Baker. He made us completely interested in the topics, and we all looked forward to his class. He truly cares about teaching and WANTS you to succeed. LOVE this Prof! Do the work, show up, and be happy.

Kind of boring and has a very monotone voice. I took him for college writing 1 and didn't really learn anything I had not known since freshman year of highschool. He likes to do lots of group discusions, where as long as you bs crap you'll get participation points. The class was pretty easy, and the final exam presentation is an easy A.

Without a doubt this guy was by far my favorite teacher throughout high school and college. Classes are extremely interesting and educational and times seems to fly by when you're in his class. I recommend any upcoming freshmen to take his college writing class. You won't regret it!
