Charlie Cantalupo is the best writing professor period. If you took another writing professor or attended another school, I'm terribly sorry for you. I'm fairly certain Dr. C stays at Schuylkill because of proximity to home, etc. because he could be head of the writingliteratureenglish department at any school in America. Thank you, Doc.

Love Dr. C! His class was hard and the essays were very difficult to write. He is a tough grader and assigns a lot of work. But he is a great man. Very passionate about his work and you will learn to appreciate literature as well as become a stronger writer. If you're willing to work, HIGHLY recommend. Had a big impact on me this year.

Very engaging and entertaining prof. The class was fun w/ a lot of discussion; he is very eager and excited to hear all student opinions. Once you get a feel for what sort of writing style he is looking for the papers are no problem at all. He was also extremely helpful with assignments. I would definitely recommend taking a writing class with him

I had Cantalupo for almost every English class I took at that campus. His classes were fun, entertaining, and opened up a whole world to anyone with any interest in the world of books and writing ... had a thing about writing poems about houses though. Listen to him, especially concerning campus moves.

He is serious, but very open-minded and has a certain way he thinks writing should be done. Follow it and you'll do fine, even if it isn't your style. Too, you must attend class and do NOT fall asleep. He barely ever cancels class, and always bring the newspaper!
