I had to take STA QR for my major and I was SUPER terrified. The class was very difficult for me but Dr. Lee went out of his way to make this class passable for everyone. He's a really great professor (a little hard to understand) and he's really funny-- if you show up and work hard you should be fine.

It's all about if you're disciplined enough to take an online course like Stats. You really have to stay on top of assignments or you'll fall behind very easily. Don't think there was anything wrong with the professor just the fact that the course was online was kind of difficult for me.

Hard subject, the online format made it easy to take at my leisure. Very easy to keep up with and well structured. The powerpoints he made help a lot and he was always providing updates and reminders through email. He does not want anyone to fail, but you need to put the effort in. I would recommend this as an online course to anyone.

Very enthusiastic about the subject, but incredibly difficult to understand. You basically have to teach yourself everything, but he tries. Quizzes are straightforward if you study, exams are difficult. He gives extra credit and tries to help you succeed, I would recommend him.

Class was really hard for me to pay attention to cuz I could'nt understand him. Had to basically teach myslef in the class. Lee has good intentions and is a nice guy, but i could'nt learn from him at all. His grammar was really bad on the tests which made them a lot more difficult. Try as hard as u can to pay attention to him and u should od fine

Good professor, hard class. he makes power points that help a ton, but homework, and tests are pretty hard, very time consuming. if you do good on the homework though, and take home portions of the test, youll get an A or B.

Comment:
The homework online is annoying because if you are even 0.001 off it counts it as incorrect and with the changing questions it can be almost impossible sometimes to get the right answer even though you are doing the problem correctly. There is sometime extra credit if you show up to class and most of the class is gone. I didn't enjoy this class.

Dr. Lee is a good teacher and this class isn't terrible. I found it hard to pay attention. The project is a pain but overall wasn't bad. NOTE TO ACTUARIAL SCIENCE MAJORS: Don't let anyone talk you into this class unless you are considering Statistician as a back up career plan. Data mining is a new field that is at this point useless to actuaries.

STA 282 scared me to death, I took it with Dr. Lee and he was very helpful. You can tell he really wants everyone to understand and be succesful in his class. If you have to take this, take it with Dr. Lee. He is also very entertaining and makes the class fun! O and accent is not bad either.

Lee is a great professor. He thoroughly covers the topics and his accent is not bad at all. He's a fair grader and really wants students to do well. He's also very nice and enthusiastic when teaching. Stats wasn't the most fun class ever, but Professor Lee made it a lot less painfull.

His english starts off decent, but as the semester goes on he starts talking faster then things become less clear. At the end of the semester "lower and upper bound" was "lowanuppabon" He is useless to go to if you have any questions.. just go to the math center.

Professor Lee is a good professor. He is always enthusiastic about stats. I wouldn't recommend taking this class in the summer though....4 hours of sitting in front of a computer isn't very fun, and your mind tends to wander....overall, hes a great professor and if you want to eventually do well in stats, take his class.

He is overall a nice guy. It was hard to focus sometiems since this was a night class. I agree with other people that you just need to pay more attention, then you prob. will do well in his class. If you do not do well, you are probably just not a math person. He may not be the best STA282 teacher, but he is not too bad.

He was a dedicated teacher. Willing to listen and help you not just with stat282. Yes, his english is not perfect. The class is not hard at all if you just pay more attention. The exam problems were similar to problems in practice exams.
