I hate him. He doesnt know how to teach this guy is really whack. He talks more about his life ex. backpacking in peru or some foreign country. He gives you a 20 page bio about his life and how he only spent 4 dollars a day while backpacking. DO NOT TAKE HIM! I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE HIM

What happened to Mr. Ugalde? I took a Latin American St. Class last couple of semesters back, he was very interesting...knew alot about Latin America and he spoke so passionately about it. It was a pleasure being in his class, even though it was only for a couple of months. Hopefully we see him again!!!

He is a narrow-minded unhappy person who teaches only about Che and Fidel Castro. He explained my low grade with my ESL level. Yet Hispanic students(ESL) were allowed to write in Spanish. When I told him that he was discriminating if he wont accept my paper in Armenian he changed my grade from D to B. What for? He never read my work:(

Prof. Ugalde is the best teacher ever. His class is awsome. U can learn a lot from him. Very understanding. Very knowledgeable professor.People who dont do good is because they are lazy. If u do your work u will do good, even though you desagree with him. I did and still got an A. It depends if u want to work for a good grade. Highly recomend him.

This is the worse teacher i have ever had. This guy tries to teach you socialism and he thinks it is the greatest thing since the slice of bread. He will not tolerate if you disagree with his ideas. Very narrow minded and because I would disagreed with him in class on his ideas he gave a me "C", although in any other class I would have an "A".

THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! has great liberal ideas that can really change the way you see US international policy and interventions in other countries especially in Latin America. Teaches the truth although some people don't like it. Nice man. Extremely helpful.We need more professors like Prof Ugalde!I loved his class! Hasta la victoria siempre!

I took this class & I learned alot about Latin America. He may be controversial to some, but I was not afraid of him. There was just enough homework, lots of hand-outs to read, we used the text book and had to read another entire book. You will need to study for tests...you won't do well if you don't study. Take the class, he knows his stuff!

nice interesting person, but weird as a teacher,he dosen't like it when your taking notes in class, attendence is a priority. He's beleifs are clear if you don't agree with his communist beleifs than good luck, just go with the flow if you want to pass the class. assignments are really easy, test are pretty hard, just study hard for them.i got a B!
