Comment:

Not a superb English teacher. She is not inspiring at all and shows little of her actual personality to students. After having spent a term with her I know her no better than before I met her. If that doesn't matter to you, she's a decent professor. Interesting reading material, good feedback :) Lots of papers and grading guidelines are hazy :(

Comment:

I would just like to say she is a very caring, respectable, and a great teacher. We are reading 2 books and she makes sure to discuss and go over the reading. Homework is very light and you write papers paragraph by paragraph so it can be revised and given feedback. This is my favorite class ever, it's so great. DO YOUR WORK and you'll pass.

Comment:

Dr. Gardner is very knowledge, helpful and caring. Many people don't like her because she is a tough grader and will not tolerate disruptions, laziness, and underdeveloped ideas. If you are a good english student you will be challenged and enriched. If you are a poor english student (or a poor student in general), you will probably drop this class.

Comment:

This class is perfect for anyone who is serious about learning how to write an essay. If you want to learn, take this class! If you aren't interested in being pushed, I wouldn't take this class. Dr. Gardner is tough, but she also extremely fair, and yes, she will make you work for it. She is extremely accessible outside of class.

horrible, gives you things to read then talk abut them in class, will ask you interpretations in an essay then tell you that's not it, umm its MY interpretation. best mad that people aren't getting it by the end of the semester but the closest thing to teaching she does is the scratch marks on your papers that you can't read. nice person though

Contrary to most people, I feel that she is an amazing professor. The reason people dont like her is because she is a tough grader and really wants you to work hard and better yourself.

Professor Gardner is rude, indecisive, and very difficult to please. She is extremely passive aggressive and will say rude things about specific students in front of the whole class. She likes to ask students for their interpretations of pieces of literature but then she'll tell them they are wrong. Her class involves a lot of writing.

I am taking Professor Gardner's class for Eng A and it is the easiest class if you just do the homework, study for tests, and do well with your essays. English is not my favorite subject but I have an A in the class. You just need to be present, and she gives you study guides for the grammer tests. She is a good English teacher.

Laurel Gardner is a wonderful teacher. Her teaching method is easy to understand. She corrects the essays in details, which helps students a lot. Although she is rather strict, she is helpful,dedicated. We need that type of professor.

Professor Gardner is a great instructor! She puts a lot of effort into teaching her students. If you are serious about college and earning a good grade, then take her class! Don't take her class if you to expect to magically pass by missing class and not completing assignments.

Comment:

Dr. Gardener is a great English professor. She's quirky and goofy, but she doesn't tolerate disrespect (like napping or using cell phones, and then arguing with her about it!). She puts a lot of effort into her teaching material and making sure her students pass. This class was not hard, but there is work. I would take another class from her.

I dropped this class when I got the second version of my essay with a D+ on it. If I got a D+ in this class, I wouldn't do great. I was hoping for a C- or just a C. Plus this professor seems to be bias. If u don't like bias teachers, just take a class with a different teacher.
