If you take this class online be prepared to type books for discussions that dont even make a part of your grade and she isnt friendly or understanding about real life issues at all. AVOID! She thinks shes the ultimate historian. You barely use the book because her notes make up most of your tests.

Comment:

First of all, you'll only ever have discussion boards and tests. I forgot to respond to students on a DB and got a 25/100. My DB at 500 words. I was so mad. The tests are 10 essays. I've turned in a 14 page test before. The discussion boards literally have nothing to do with state & local gov, most have been over Russia. Avoid at all costs!

This class is very easy. If you are looking for an A, this is it. The teacher is very nice and helpful. Her work is very easy. One discussion a week that requires 4 posts, two tests, and one essay. I would highly recommend WH1 and WH2 with Carol Ludlam.

I took American History and World History from her online. I loved the classes. I thought the tests were easy. It's an online class so you have to push yourself especially if you want an A. Yes her tests require putting key events or people into your own words. You should be able to write an essay if you're in college.

I loved this class. She challenged me. This is not a class for the faint of heart or lazy. She pushes you. Responds to emails timely, and seems to really enjoy what she's doing. You must have strong writing skills to excel in this class. Way to go Carol!

I think some of these reviewers are just looking for an easy A, and not really looking to learn something. I had a great experience in this class, and I learned a lot about early world history. Yes, she is thorough and expects her students to actually try, but so what. That should be what you are here for. I would take her class again anytime.

I honestly do not have my book or the number of the course to all of the classes that I took with Carol, but what I can say is you all need to get off your bashing check. Carol was a wonderful teacher who cared that you got what you were paying for. Maybe you just didn't put in the 100% you should have. Thanks Carol! For EVERYTHING!

Her tests are super long. She expects you to be able to put the whole book and then some into your own words. I would not recommend her if you can't write essays are have problems concentrating.

Difficult tests. Felt like I was chained to my computer for days completing them. I earned an An A but worked very hard. If you are looking for an easy course this is no the one for you. She was very nice and graded in a timely manner.

Terrible teacher. I took her classes online and she expects you to be a historical scholar. It is a waste of time to take her classes just for undergrad credit. Her tests are too long and did I mention, oh my god, loooong. If you have nothing better to do with your time. Take her class!

Her class are horrible!! I used to be interested in history until I took her class. Her tests are really hard, some of my tests were 15 pages! Warning: If you have to have a history class, DON'T TAKE IT FROM HER!!!!!

Tests are rediculous between 5 and 8 pages per test. She does not realize that students who are taking online classes, do not have the time to type out a 5 to 8 page test during weekdays. I would be happy if it was a multiple choice test with 2 essays.

This teacher is so unpersonable. Her tests are unreal, and take forever. You read chapter after chapter and take a test that takes four days. If you have to take a history class, stick to Frank Arnold, even though he is boring also. Believe me,it'worth it

Her lessons are pointless for the assignments(which are way too long and drawn out), you must use your book or outside sources for everything and her tests are OUT OF CONTROL!! Its ridiculous...made me dislike online courses!!
