Comment:
Tests were all take home which was very helpful but they were very difficult. Almost weekly homework that you're allowed to work on with classmates. Class is lecture heavy but labs are a little more self guided. Do well on the exams and homework and you'll likely pass.

Chuck is the reason I love physics. Integrated into his lectures are all sorts of anecdotes, mini-lessons, stories and fun facts that have completely renewed and reinvigorated my interest in the world. Taking the intro to physics classes with Chuck was undoubtedly the best decision of my academic career.

Chuck Adler knows what he is talking about, but the class can get pretty boring. He always has his classes early in the morning, unfortunately.

Great professor. Dr. Adler is very clear and is a fair grader. He knows a lot about what he is talking about. Out of class he is extremely helpful and is willing to help students. Strongly recommended.

Good teacher in optics and experimental physics, but can't teach Mechanics very well. It was an easy A for most of us.

I found him a little moody personally. One day really up and happy the next he's pissed off at something. If he's happy the lectures are interesting and he is very helpful if you get lost. Lectures are moderately helpful beyond undergrad. Also he grades hard, curves easy.

I had Adler for intro to physics. The focus of the course was on light, which is particularly tied to his area of specialty, so that probably influenced the quality of the class. I found he was quite willing to answer questions outside of class, though.

Very funny... a dry sense of humor, but absolutely hilarious if you pay attention - actually makes lecture worth paying attention to.
