Comment:

Horrible professor with no understanding of students at all. Someone cheated off my exam and she dropped my grade. Hard to over your answers when the exams are long and answers are written on a separate sheet. Additionally, the entire course was graded just from exams and there was no wiggle room at all.

Comment:

Drea is super cool and a great lecturer, but the class can be difficultoverwhelming. It's worth it if you're into primateanimal behavior, and probably easier if you have an EvAnth background. Not an easy A. Optional discussion section has weekly quizzes to replace your lower midterm grade. Reading is supplemental, not really necessary.

When she introduced herself by saying "My name is Dr. Drea, like the rapper" I knew she was going to be a cool professor. I was not disappointed. She is my favorite professor at Duke. So fascinating as a person!

Such a cool person. Dr. Drea is clearly very intelligent and will impart a lot of her knowledge to you. This class turned out to be one of the most interesting classes I have taken at Duke. It is tough, but fair. Dr. Drea is the bomb!

This class has a good rep because it's a fascinating subject with a good teacher, but don't mistake that for ease. It is a very difficult course. You must got to every lecture to do well, but that won't guarantee that you'll succeed either. I highly recommend this class, but only if you aren't taking any other difficult or time-demanding courses.

Drea is the best teacher i've had at duke, and her class was absolutely fascinating. you must go to lecture to do well, but she is extremely organized and helpful. everyone should take this class.

Dr. Drea is an excellent professor. She is intelligent and witty, and her lectures are stimulating. The textbook is pretty much useless, but you only need to rely her powerpoints for the tests. Coming to class is mandatory if you want to do well.

Dr. Drea is a fantastic teacher possessing a wealth of knowledge that she is willing to share with her class. Her lectures are very well organized and she explains complex concepts very clearly. She jokes a lot, which makes the class enjoyable. To do well, you MUST go to lecture. There is no better way to prepare for the tests.

Even though the class is called "Primate Sexuality", it doesn't exactly cover all the material you would expect...Still, it's a very interesting class and a pretty easy A. Dr. Drea is a really skilled lecturer who has heard all the jokes before and has some pretty snappy comebacks!

Comment:

Dr. Drea is an extremely intelligent woman. She's by far the best BAA prof I've had. BAA 171 was a great class, very interesting, thought a bit dense. Some of the material was challenging, and the tests were not easy by far, but this is one of those classes you feel lucky to get a B in but loved every minute of it.

Whoever said that Drea was the "wicked witch of the west" is absolutely crazy. Drea is funny, chill, very intelligent, and quite helpful if you show yourself to be both interested in and prepared for the content about which she is teaching. Don't let someone's misinformed opinion dissuade you from taking a class from one of BAA's best profs.
