Dr.Mahady is very energetic, and that fueled many of us in this particular class to get involved in the discussions. For those that did not wish to speak, she would prod them every once in a while, which I found amusing. Great professor! Do what she asks, address the topics and writing form that she goes over, and you will get an A.

Comment:

Do not expect to learn anything here. Class is easy, read the short stories and discus, watch a couple movies and write some papers. You won?t be able to read her remarks on your papers, her writing is the worst I?ve ever seen. She is a very nice woman but teaching might not have been the best idea for her to get into. If you want to learn, avoid.

Classroom participation is manditory and she won't let you get away with a generic comment. She keeps the lessons interesting by bringing in documents on the times and consistently brings her own reading to the table while accepting others. She is always availble and very helpful outside of class.

Class completely lacks direction. Dr. Mahady is obviously intelligent, but she simply cannot teach. If students are not dictating the dialogue, it is crickets in the classroom. Though this class is exceedingly easy, and you can get away with just reading Spark Notes, don't expect to learn anything.

She knows her stuff and keeps everything interesting. Her lessons revolve around discussion so reading is mandidtory but the reading is light. Occasionally she has a free-writing responce before the start of class that is always turned it so be prepared!

Had her for women and Lit. She is very sweet but she doesn't know ANYTHING. She literally does not direct the class at all. If you ask a question, instead of answering it she will through it back at the class because...she doesn't know the answer. Her quizzes are on tedious details of the books...so pointless.

I miss this class it was so interesting the material was definetly laid back and easy to relate to. Dr. M is the best! She's madd nice and very helpful if you need it. Def take this class you wont regret it. I highly recommend this class. But its not a class you can skip whenever. there r only like 20 people in the class she will no if ur not there

So perky you'll want to vomit. Kept the class interesting with a variety of assignments, sometimes they were childish though. Focuses on radical forms of feminism and basically tells you that you don't get it if you argue with the idealism. Or maybe I just didn't get it, but a few people in the class agreed with me on that. Forces participation.

Christine is a sweetheart, all around. I had her for a class I really didn't belong in, but she made it bearable by trying to go out of her way to challenge me, and just by being so darn cute all the time. She was an easy A two years ago, but with experience, she's going to be a hell of a prof. some day.

nice person, seems VERY smart, but also seems like she is still learning how to handle a class. like, she says "ahh i like that" at EVERYTHING and doesnt really challenge students, and sometimes her positive comments seem insincere. BUT i give her the thumbs up in general. she'll be better with more experience.
