Mrs. Kratz is so sweet! She had a lot of helpful resources linked on BB and her PowerPoints are available there as well. If you have perfect attendance you will get 10 EC points. She will tell you when a specific term/concept is going to be on the test. SNAP and DA projects were probably the most difficult but she'll answer any questions you have.

Comment:

Mrs. Kratz is a real gem of a person. The atmosphere she creates makes you WANT to come to class. I was never very concerned about my grade since everything is outlined so clearly. Her class is the perfect example of getting out of it what you put in. Come to class, participate, and enjoy every minute you have with Mrs. Kratz! I had a blast :)

This class and professor actually changed my life. I am now paranoid about what I'm eating, and hate corn. Professor is caring. Everything is very straightforward, and 100's across the board if you follow directions and study. I've never had a single issue with this professor, and that's really saying something.

Mrs. Kratz is great! She gets to learn about her students, which always makes the class more enjoyable. She tells of many real-life scenarios and situations that pertain to nutrition. There is quite a bit of course work, but ample time to complete it. I would recommend this teacher !

Mrs. Kratz deff was a hard grader from the jump. She's very clear with what she expects from you (read fine detail) but also i felt like her BB posts were ALL over the place & kind of confusing until I read over it 50 times. If she takes off points for something, she'll explain in detail why which is what I like. She seems very welcoming though!

I just took her in spring and she is wonderful. The worls is a little time consuming, but I definitely learned a lot. She makes the class very interesting, and she is a great women. Love her!!!. It's a definite A, and if you don't miss any class there's extra 10 credits for that. And it's a book free class, and I love that.

Kratz is really nice and accommodating, but nutrition is hard, and if you don't have to take it, I would recommend that you don't take it. There are two big projects (SNAP and Diet Analysis) that take a LONG time. She's a pretty hard grader, especially on the discussion board posts. If you do all your work well and on time, you should get an A.

Such a wonderful and sweet lady. She's a great professor and I would recommend her to anyone, even those who don't have an interest in nutrition. She makes it very interesting and fun!

Took her a year ago. I absolutely loved her! Her class was fun. She is a very nice lady and extremely helpful. All of her assignments were straight forward. Some of them were a little time-consuming, but if you needed help she would always be there! She tried her best to make the class interesting and enjoyable. I would definitely take her again.

Shes a great teacher and is really does love her job. I took her class at the school for one day but had to drop it - but then ended up taking it online the following semester and made sure I had her because she was great!

Good class, I learned a lot. Professor Kratz was good, the class was easy if you do your work. The end of term project was fun and informative. If you don't pass this class, you are a slacker. The teacher will work with you to help you pass, if you let her.

if you don't get an A in this class you're just lazy. She's an easy grader, and very nice person. She can be corny at times but she's funny about it. She really loves to teach and cares about her students. Assignments are super easy. Tests you have to study but they aren't that hard. You get one big project that's long but it's really easy.

I was not expecting the long assignments and activities for home work, but they help what is trying to be taught for an online class. Taking it online was easy, just make sure that you comment a lot on the discussion boards.

Would not recommend!! Class was easy but work was mind-numbing and overwhelming. Large assignment for every chapter (14 of them). Class could have been more interesting and taught much more enjoyable.

I took her Food and Culture Geography class online taught with Wayne Brew. It was challenging at times, but very interesting. You'll do well if you work hard. It's just a lot of reading but the assignments are pretty easy. She's very nice and very helpful. Responds to emails quickly and wants students to do well.

Best class I have taken to date. Mrs. Kratz was wonderful and very helpful. You will have a great time learning. You can get extra points for perfect attendance, we got 10! Spend time on the assignments it is worth it. Take this professor you will not regret it.
