She was SUPER boring. Sometimes she'd spend half the class talking about her experiences, which is cool or whatever, but we kinda need to go over the material. She can also be rude and her "quizzes" are basically essays every week.

She doesn't explain things well and she's not straightforward when she answers questions. She talks quietly so you can barely hear her. There are no tests only quizzes and they're all short answer. For me, she barely answered emails and when she did it was a week late. Read read read the textbook. I will say the info was interesting though.

Dr. Kriger is very lecture heavy and honestly it's pretty boring. I took this for a gen ed requirement thinking that it would be easy, but it wasn't. She doesn't put any of your grades on canvas and for her "quizzes" she expects you to know about 4 chapters worth of info for 3 questions. You will not know your grade until the end of the semester.

There were two required textbooks and we took a total of 3 tests. All of her tests are essay based and she has an odd way of grading. Theres not a clear expectation of what she wants at all times - she doesnt want you to be concerned with your grade but rather what you learn but thats hard when youre trying to pass. She doesnt use canvas

LOTS OF WRITING. All her "quizzes" are written essay form so you'll basically be writing a paper every test. Each quiz only has 3 questions that count heavy, the final is also written essay form. Her lectures are interesting at first but quickly get boring. She doesn't do anything online so the powerpoints or anything else are unavailable to you.

Kriger remains you of that one middle school teacher that you just hate. Her classes are a bore. She's so stuck in her ways that she won't find a way to adapt and help out her students. Its her way or the highway. She rarely answers your question without bring up her experience. She hates repeating herself and can get very rude if asked a question.

First day of class you get a syllabus. That syllabus is the Bible for her class. Everything is clear and easy to follow. Listen to her lectures, and take notes most importantly, LISTEN! HOSPITAL She likes to laugh at her own jokes, and she is a bit odd; but she is AMAZING. Take one of her classes if you can!

1. YOU have to go get your quizzes back at her office 2. Does NOT explain things well 3. Four major "tests" throughout the semester with only three questions (2 are 25 pts the last question is 50pts.) 4. Does NOT use canvas AT ALL. 5. Didn't know my grade until grades were entered at the end of the semester 6. HARD to reach

Kriger was a bit scatter brained at times. Very nice and approachable. A lot of short assignments but she grades them easy. We never stayed the full 3 hours. Would recommend.

Colloquium with Dr. Kriger was awful. She had no idea what she was doing. She had no idea how to explain what she wanted in terms of assignments and we didn't get anything done. All she talked about was Africa which was not the point of the class.

I had Dr. Kriger for Honors Colloquium. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER. Perhaps she's a better teacher for African History classes because that's all she wanted to talk about. Always strayed off topic, was unclear in assignment instructions and favored over-explaining everything. Like long papers instead of concise ones.

Loved Professor Kriger, the clas material was really interesting and she was great.. Read the required text and do the study guide and you are good. Africa is not a highly taught subject so it was confusing in the beginning, but it was well.

History was never a subject I liked or was good at. However without doing any of the readings and missing a few assignments, I pulled a B out of this class. The material was REALLY boring but Kriger was ineterating and energetic. She's very helpfull outside class and knows what she's talkin about.

Dr. Kriger is an amazing professor! She goes out of her way to help her students in any way she possibly can. Although her exams cover a lot of material she tells her students exactly what is expected of them. She is very knowledgeable in her field. I loved this class and am taking her 500 level this semester!

The class was interesting, but she wasn't. She gave study guides that really didn't have to do with the test. She doesn't give quizzes, and her grading is very broad. She makes you do a paper on a book, that I thought was stupid at first, but turned out to be a good book. The last exam she tells you to study the syllabus...not true.
