as a history major i took his classes ended up minoring in econ-3 credits short of a dual..he is fantastic!!! yes his class is difficult but the curriculum is built upon a graduate program in binghamton, ny, so if you are not ready for a challenge then major in phys ed or something w/o an econ requirement

Great teacher. I'll tell you right now, If you don't like Economics, then yeah, it'll be boring, but In Christofides class, he thoroughly explains everything in detail. Vocab, graphs, what will be on the test and when each test will be. You just need to make sure that you pay attention. This is college, not high school. It's all in the book!

He's an excellent teacher, however, in a class of 130 students, I believe his teaching style is severely limiting in many aspects. There was always aide available for anyone who sought it from the TA. If you get him in a class less than 40 then I recommend him highly.

He is very boring, and hard to understand. His tests are really hard, alot of people in the class are failing. You have to attend class everyday, but bring a pillow becasue you will fall asleep.

Comment:

Christofides is a nice man, and he is very intelligent about Economics. However, he's not the best at teaching. I found him hard to follow at times and I was usually lost. I studied my butt off for every test and still got a B. You get 5 extra points for perfect attendance which is nice. If you're not willing to work hard don't take him.

Dr. Christofides is an extremely intelligent professor. although he may be a little difficult to follow up with, his lectures are really helpful if you manage to not zone out at any given period. He only has 2 tests and a final so make sure you don't miss the class before exam day since he goes over the majority of what should be expected.

Dr. Christofides was by far the best professor that I had at ESU. I recently reached out to him to congratulate him on his award for the Best Professor Award that he received. After about 17 years of not seeing or talking to him he remembered me and what I was doing 17 years ago. He is a great man.

Took him for Micro and he sucked. Dude lectures forever about how he can prove to us, the theories of econ with math. Talks about current econ news and then gives a 5min. lecture on stuff you should know. Next, he assigns RIDICULOUS homework that makes no sense. The tests never make sense, gives you a bad grade and says you did well. Final is easy!

He is a nice guy and definitely knows what he's talking about, but East Stroudsburg University insists on only offering his Economics classes at 8 am, thus frustrating every student and making it near impossible to grasp any concept. He is very helpful, and contradicts his attendance policy, but is overall, a good teacher.

This guy lives for economics. Class is fairly difficult. You only have 2 tests & a final so you really have no room to mess up. He isn't very clear when reviewing for tests which can end up being a problem. He's understanding & will try to help you out where he can but I found my self feeling confused & helpless all through out the semester.

If I had the choice, I would never have had to take his class. If you like being thoroughly confused, go ahead and take his class. The final grade consists of 2 tests and a final, nothing else. At the start of the semester, he says attendance is not mandatory & yet he threatens to fail you if you miss class. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

Dr. Christofides is absolutely brilliant and tries to get kids motivated about economics (not an easy job). The classes are really tough, but he's a great professor and lets you know the importance of what you're learning for the "real world". Econ is not my strongest subject, but I sign up for every class he teaches.

I think Christofides is one of the best teachers at ESU. He will always help you if YOU make time for it. His classes are hard as hell but if you show up you will get a passing grade.
