Except for the fact that he does not return work in a timely manner he is a great teacher. I see that a lot of comments are from lower division classes, so if he taught it in the same way it may seem difficult. Good lectures, labs, etc. it is a lot of work. don't think he is closed minded, and no examples were given so support that claim so...

It's not that he is a bad teacher in fact he is very nice and quite funny if you talk to him. The subject material is just so very dull to me and the bulk of it is just memorizing terms. If you can do that and show up to class you will do fine. I genuinely liked him just not a fan of eco sorry =[

Dr. Sandquist is awesome, and this class is relatively easy for a biology core course. The lecture notes are always posted online, and those are helpful for the exams, which are pretty easy if you read the notes and textbook. The one negative of Dr. Sandquist is that you never know your grade until the end of the semester, but I do recommend him.

This class is one of the most boring classes I ever had. I never had interest prior to class. If it wasn't for the pop quiz I wouldn't attend his lecture. There was no midterm and we had 4 major quiz with 1 final. The final was long and hard. he never tells you your grade until the end of the semester. Oh God he is not organized on that at all. P.s

His tests are hard and he gives them back a month later. He tests on things he never talked about and aren't in the book. Boring class. Does not tell you your grade. Few homework and quizzes. Just 2 tests and a final. Reading the book and his powerpoints online are better than going to class. Passed with a B- but not recommended.

Incredible attractive!!!!! Very intelligent, well spoken. Read and pay attention and you should get an A. If you find his classes too hard, you haven't found the right study technique.

He is a very smart person. You will learn a lot if your interested in learning. I strongly recommend you taking him!!! You must be willing to put time into the class. One thing I want to say, he does not play favorites. The ones who do not show interest in the class are the ones saying he has favorites. He is very fair!!!

Passes out assigments and homework in lecture. If you don't go, there's no way to gain those points back. Exams are extremely long and no one finishes. First exam was 16 pages, third exam was 13, and final was 17. only had an hour to take the exam and it also took him about three to four weeks to hand back exams. good professor though.

This professor is closed minded. He is not helpfull at all. He plays favorites and he will not help you if he does not like you. Never speek your mind or have an opinion that differs from him do not challenge him or he will be out for your head. He is rude and will heckle students he does not like.

Dr. Sandquist is very well spoken and professional. His lectures are well organized and very interesting. Cut him some slack kids - this is how teachers are supposed to teach - don't expect to be spoon fed everything - you have to actually work for a good grade! BTW - Dr. Sandquist is also a hottie!

He is indeed attractive. Enjoys teaching. I did not learn very much. He seems nice yet he does not know how to handle sensitive situations. He did not empathize with my situation and that was very discouraging. I had Paul Stapp as a professor and he is an excellent ecologist. Dr. Snadquist is ok, I recommend taking someone else.
