Comment:
I took this professor for an ethics class and although a lot of people didn't like his teaching ways I really enjoyed his class. He provides everything you need to know needed for the quiz and assignments are limited. He is old fashioned but nothing you cannot deal with. Assignments were a little on the more difficult side but if you read ur good.

The content of this class is very helpful. However, the way he teaches it is very poor. You have a weekly quiz that makes up your entire grade (or so he says). If you do poorly on these quizes, he'll offer you an optional midterm. At the end of the class, he'll tell you your entire grade will be based on the final quiz. I don't recommend this class

Professor Apolloni is an average teacher, at best. I would not recommend taking his classes. He is the least engaging prof I have ever had, and everyone i've spoken to seems to agree. Although he clearly knows the subject matter, he can't seem to TEACH it. Also everyone seems to do poorly on his assignments as a result.

You don't have to read for this class because the quizzes are all based on his opinion. Go to class and listen to his biased opinion on all of the philosophers, write down exactly what he says, and you'll get a good grade.

As others have said, Professor Apolloni teaches with a clear bias. If you offer up a different perspective than his, he will tell you that you're wrong and leave it at that. I learned a lot in that class, but I did not enjoy it.

I attended this class for the first week-and-a-half, and it was awful. This instructor was as clear as mud, and his lectures were subjective and biased. The entire class did "poorly" on the first assignment, and it was "the fault of the students." If you ask me, a failure of ALL students is obviously the failure of the Instuctor to teach. RUN!!!

This was a life class. Great Prof! There is a quiz once a week, so go to class, read, take notes, and pay attention and you will do great!

Definitely one of the easiest classes I have taken. Read the book prior to class, attend lectures, take notes and you'll get a 4.0, unless you are stupid. He is extremely subjective and if he doesn't agree with a philosopher, he will put a spin on their ideas to make you disagree with them. Very poor style if you ask me.

I was pretty dissapointed with the class. The description of "Intro to philosophy" did not mention it being a philosophy through film course and I was hoping for more discussion. He also gave multiple choice tests which I found very poor taste for a philosophy class. It was pretty easy, but I didn't gain much from the course.

He is a character. He says he doesn't like to lecture, but he does. He also appreciates feedback from the students, in any form really. Yea, he does show some pretty awesome movies in class.

I liked Professor Apolloni. He does talk a lot, but what he says is interesting. He's also very "user friendly", and it's easy to do well in one of his classes. I've taken two philosophy courses from him, and I really enjoyed both of them. All the videos he shows in class ("Gilda" with Rita Hayworth being a favorite) are an added plus.
