Seriously one of the best! Dr. Freeman has the best suits and style I have ever seen on a teacher. He is very knowledgeable on his topics and makes class very fun. Barely any homework, 3 tests including the final, and 1 oral presentation. Best part, no book! Saves sooo much money. However this semester may have been his last at Saddleback. ):

This class has ended up being really great! He's really funny and you can tell he knows what hes talking about. We don't even use a book and the only homework we ever have is due on a test day, and there are only 3 tests! Its honestly a really straight forward easy class, and I definitely recommend it!!

Comment:

Very easy teacher, only 3 exams. No homework. Attendance isn't mandatory, but his lectures do help for studying for the exams. He's a funny guy also, not like any other boring history teacher. There's a lot of reading, again, not mandatory but highly recommended. Take him!

This was my first 8 week online class at Saddleback. I worked very hard to pass. He claimed my term paper was plagerized even though I cited EVERY SOURCE. When I emailed him to defend myself his remarks were sarcastic one liners. He gave my paper half credit. My B became a D. I would never recommend to anyone. he is the worst teacher ever.

Did Online Class. Makes everything clear in syllabus. All discussion posts and quizzes due week before end of class(very easy). One Midterm and Final , both are defining and explaining 20 key terms.(also very simple) One difficult research paper due middle of semester(5-6pgs) I didnt study and barely gave any effort and got an EASY C..

Says in syllabus that you have until the end of week 7 to complete discussions, but don't procrastinate. I did and although I had just as much work done as other students, he gave me 1/4 of the credit received by my peers who did them weekly. Also left a very rude note next to the grade on my paper. There's a reason he's at a community college.

I took the 8 week on-line course and it was great! Highly reccomend. He responds & grades quickly. do the required reading, write a lot on discussions, don't get behind...and you can get an A. Theres just a mid-term, a final (he gives you essay topics in advance), 1 long research paper. Goes by quickly!!

**Don't believe all the negative comments!** This guy is just awesome! He's very professional and probably the only one at this college who dresses up for a community college class. Like all teachers, if you get to know him, he's a really cool guy. He has been through a lot such as a divorce but always brings a smile to class and will tell jokes!

This guy is so full of himself, in an attempt to look good he comes in wearing absurd suits like he is apart of the mafia. Can't believe girls fall for that. I'm glad I sit in the back so he doesn't try to flirt with me. Wish I took the class with someone else just because of how uncomfortable he makes me.

Got an F in the class for not having a couple of discussion board questions answered by the due date even with 86% average. In the syllabus it said that if you miss even one assignment it will result in an automatic F. It seems the class is not about what you can demonstrate that you know but rather did you read the fine print in the syllabus.

I took his online 8 week course. I worked SOOO HARD in this class, and received good grades on everything. When it came to the large RESEARCH paper; he gave me a ZERO, bringing my A to a C. He said it was plagiarized although I CITED EVERYTHING I obtained from text and online as he ASKED. He would not work with me at all, and was by far the WORST!

I took the 8 week online course. I'm not much of a history aficionado, but this course was really easy. Just make sure you keep up with the discussion boards, and quizzes. There's one term paper, a midterm and a final. The midterm and final were just defining terms he gives in the syllabus.He grades really easily and fast, even with the term paper.

All these people hating on this professor are clearly way too sensitive. He doesnt make fun of people and if you have a sense of humor you'll find him funny. Took his 6 week summer course and it was a total breeze. His lectures move fast but bring your laptop, take good notes and study those and you will ace your tests. RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

This guy is fun and upbeat, he's always got a witty remark in hand as well as tons of fun tidbits you might not have known about history. I really enjoyed going to this class. he doesnt make you memorize dates. tests are easy if you study the notes, i rarely used the book. loved this class!

I took him for summer session and he was great. He keeps the topics interesting and funny! His class is a little hard, 3 tests and 1 oral presentation. I recommend taking notes!! Otherwise he was great and saves you money since he does not use a textbook! :)
