Probably one of those chilled profs I had class with. Had him for BIOL 1601. The course was good although he sometimes go off topic for giving example but he makes fun in class. Very helpful on one on one help if you need. Very friendly and over all a nice prof.

Brilliant man but the course of Environmental Biology is also pretty interesting but also very dull. Was always willing to help if you had any questions and very nice.

Comment:

People seem to have a love/hate relationship with Dave.I liked him. Yes he is very sarcastic, but I enjoyed that.Tests are easy but he marks them really hard,never got full value for a question worth more than 10pts. Powerpoints are vauge, but he is very clear with his lecturing.He is tough, but I enjoyed it and would take a class from him again.

Dr. McCorquodale was a great prof! I had no interest in environmental bio and he showed me that it is very interesting! His tests were relatively easy with good notes and studying. Loved his lecture, very organized slides & he elaborates on all points so take notes!! Great course

I did not like him at first. He is extremely arrogant and liked making you feel stupid to make himself feel better. But...once you get used to that, he had a good sense of humor. I would call the tests easy, except he marked hard. I did not get full value very often. However, I thought the class in general was totally useless.

The trend seems to be that those who like the class do excellent and those who don't do poorly. His powerpoints are vague, but he makes up for that when he lectures. Very clear. Very enthusiastic. Exams are fair. He loves trick questions. If you pay attention in class and take good notes, you'll ace it. Class got me very interrested in enviro bio!

dave was an amazing professor, i cannot wait to take more classes from him. He is a great professor and is very very helpful. not many people enjoy lectures but he always made them fun and interesting. his exams were really easy as well, as long as you studied and went to class you wont even need the book. awesome prof and an awesome friend a well

The class seemed completely off of the top of his head. lab is brutal and redundant. i can't say i learned anything useful at all. i was astounded at the fact this was a second year course in university. his notes are incomprehensible. this guy should stick to his beloved bugs.

Don't buy the book, it was a waste. He LOVED the trick questions; be careful! Very unorganized and unclear. Horrilbe marker as well. Avoid him if possible.

Oh. My. God. Worst professor I have ever had. So completely unorganized that it was difficult to even learn anything from him, like he was making it up as he went along. Tough marker on tests and exams, without giving any real reason for why he deducted points on certain things. One time I asked him what the test was marked out of. He didn't know..

I enjoyed the class. He has a sarcastic sense of humour, which I enjoyed. But he does go off on a lot of separate tangents. Repeats himself a lot in class, but it can be helpful.

I did well in this course, but disliked it. Out in the rain or shine was just not for me. He is a nice prof that knows his subject well, but I don't believe that he is clear AT ALL, there is no structure to anything that he does. I also don't think he is a fair marker, unless you have a deep passion for the outdoors, in which case you'll do great..

Very good professor, very sarcastic but he's a funny guy. Tells you what will be on the exam, even lets the students make questions up beforehand so there are no surprises. His courses are usually pretty easy as long as you study.
