Comment:
The worst professor in this school of nursing. She is a perfect example of a burnout careless professor who is supposed to retire but does not for some reasons. She literally read all power points, never taught pharmacology class and succeeded in failing a couple of diligent and hardworking students just because she did not like them. I pity her.

She assigns reading which she herself doesn't read. 305 is outsourced to AIT which is ridiculous and she is completely dependent on PowerPoint

Deanna is a great teacher she is nice and always willing to help. The other bad reviews must not have got to know her because she is a wonderful teacher. Take her for clinical you wont regret it.

Deanna is probably the most passionate teacher about her job at CSU Chico. She gives you her cell phone and home phone so you can reach her any time, and of all of the instructors I've had so far, I feel like I would be able to call her 5 years from now and she'd be right there to help. She's an amazing woman with a beautiful heart willing to help.

Comment:
Deanna is one of the most considerate, compassionate, approachable, and genuinely helpful of the nursing faculty I have come across. She is very structured, laid back and more than willing to help students and answer any questions they have. I am currently in her clinical section and would absolutely recommend her as a professor. She's wonderful!

Kind of a monotone professor, not very enthusiastic in clinical. Doesn't make exceptions for anything or anybody. Have had a way better clinical experience last semester.

I was afraid to have Deanna for both clinical and for N303 after reading the commnents. I found her to be extremely fair, kind and knowledgeable. She immediately responded to emails. Nrsg classes aren't easy, but she isn't any harder than other instructors. She is reasonable if asked in advance for flexibility. I would happily take her again.

Online course with two papers relating to pathophys. she did not teach, this is a self taught class. Online class that required papers to be mailed through US Mail service. Why? typical Boomer unable to come to grips with modern technology.

During lecture she would talk slow and repeat herself if asked. She tried to explain things in detail too. Her lecture outlines were not very detailed and had to follow during lecture. Also, her test questions related to the lecture, but were sometimes tricky. Overall, not that great of a teacher, but I've had worse!
