She knows her material. We didn't use the book at all. Her lectures are on power points which she puts on blackboard and makes available for all students. Her tests come DIRECTLY from a study guide she provides via the online site. If you study that you are golden. She answers all questions, very intelligent, but very dry.

I took her for Lab for A&P1. She can be quite dry but she knows her stuff! She puts everythinh online, she even posted her lecture materials since the class struggled in lecture (with another teacher!) she makes sure she is clear and is always helpful when asked questions! Gives out extra credit!! Already scheduled A&P2 with her!!!

Comment:

as others have said, she can be a bit dry during lectures..but she does have a sense of humor to her. She provided great resources to help the class learn. you need to be dedicated to the coursework and make an effort to study. I would take her again without question.

Very dry delivery. She reads from the PowerPoint the entire time. All of the material is available online (even narrated) which is nice, however it is frustrating to spend 9 hours a week in class when I could get the exact same information at home. I don't want to feel like if I missed a day it wouldn't matter. I want a reason to come to class.

She knows her stuff but it is really hard to follow along. You mainly teach yourself. I took her for A&P1 in class and decided to do hybrid for A&P2. You don't need a book but you should put the money saved into ink. She has a ton of power point slides and notes and all her classes are online in power points where she reads, so the same as her clas

She is really tough, her lectures are very dry and she reads from her power points the entire time. She focuses on details and seems to lose the big picture. I would not recommend taking her, especially not for a summer class.

Dr. Smith is a very intelligent person, but speaks non-stop. Sometimes your brain doesn't have a chance to process what she is saying and she is very dry and remote in her presentation. Her tests are kind of difficult

Dr. Smith was an excellent teacher in that she gave the students the tools they needed to succeed. Having said that, she is very dry and I found myself struggling to stay awake when she lectured. She has a wealth of knowledge about Anatomy and Physiology!

Good teacher, can get a little dry at times. She's good at and will take time to answer questions. You don't necessarily have to go to class if you study at home. Pictures of models are posted on blackboard for lab exams which is helpful.

I honestly thought she was a phenomenal teacher. I only had her for lab, but I was so facinated I never missed a single class. Most of my classmates did not enjoy her as much as me. She can be a bit spacey, but she really knows what she's doing, all you have to do is ask for help.

Her lectures are extremely dry but she gives the chapter's homework before lecturing on it so you can do it in class. She has a booklet that she made that has all the slides in her powerpoint lecture and a study guide so its not too hard to study for tests but she tests on comprehension rather than memorization. Not a hard teacher if you try.

I am in her A&P class this semester. I'm doing just fine but I work hard at it. Dr. Smith is an excellent professor, she knows her stuff, and she gives you extra credit and every learning tool possible. Is she a ball of fire? No. But that's life. If you don't do well in her class, then maybe you should rethink your major.

You have many quizzes, each of them covering an average of 4 chapters! She gives 0 hints as to what is on the quizzes..you are just supposed to study EVERYTHING from major headings to the smallest detail (diagrams, pictures, etc.) Lectures are boring, and if you ask a question, you will be more confused after you asked it then beforehand.

This woman is a genius. However, she's too tough on people that have had literally no Biology or very little of it. The tests were some of the hardest I've ever taken, and the final was 200 questions, COMPREHENSIVE. Definitely NOT a blow-off class.

Dr. Smith was very boring and exams were full of trick questions. I took her last year year and had to drop it. I retook the class this Summer with Mary Jane Wheeler at the Metro campus and she was MUCH better!! I got a B in the class.
