Exams are the easiest you will get in college. All multiple choice, all common sense. Everyone I know averaged 90% + on exams with less than half an hour of study. He gives opportunity for 3% extra credit. He also will nudge your grade up if you go to class and participate. GROUPWORK HEAVY (he assigns) but drafts for all group work w/ lotsoffeedbak

First, he didn't share the lecture slides. If you feel he talked too fast, he blamed that you didn't read text book. Second, if you look at book, he will point you out and say you didn't listen at all. Third, he requires a 15-page term paper, the topic is the observation of your group members. Fourth, his exams are tough, covered corner of textbook

Attendance is taken at every class, so that is rough especially for an 8am. The course material should be easy but he goes out of his way to make it hard. Iv never had a more unclear and vague professor for assignments. He talks about things completely unrelated to lecture notes yet acts like it is important. Never take him find a different teacher

Terrible experience with Sicilia. Extremely vague about assignments and exams. His lectures are word for word powerpoints of the book. Exams seemed to cover material not discussed in class. Class average was around a 74. Besides the 3 exams you have a numerous amount of group projects, presentations, and a 15 page paper at the end. NO NOT TAKE HIM.

The group project ended up being a valuable learning experience but it took a while to get there. He could be replaced by the textbook. He is literally crazy. You can find the textbook online but you NEED to know the vocab and you NEED to go to class. Bring a laptop though and check your email all class, you don't need to listen to a word he says.

I kind of like the guy, he seemed to enjoy what hes doing. The only problem is everything is so vague. There is also a 10-15 page term paper, so that is pretty bad.

Extremely unclear with what he wants on cases and assignments. The class is horrendously boring. I didn't study for the first exam and then studied for the second and received the same grade. Only tests you on vocabulary from the textbook.

Drove me insane the entire semester. Rambles on-definitely bring a laptop. Likes to play "games" where he has a specific word in mind and won't stop asking people until someone thinks of the word. Pointless groupwork but a lot easier than I expected it to be. Exams could be tricky. Do the extra credit.

Don't bother taking notes in class, he goes through the slides too fast. I took it at 8 am and he's really energetic and loves what he teaches. Lots of easy group work. All multiple choice tests and not cumulative final. One 10 page paper due at the end of the semester.

Comment:

He isn't a good professor. Simply rambles on in class and noone pays attention. Bring your laptop, or you'll bore yourself to death. Dont look at slides, just memorize bold words in text before the exam, should be pretty straightforward. group-work was annoying and completely unnecessary. 10 page paper at the end, ended up with A in course.

Comment:

Tests are easy just memorize the vocab words. Heavily based on group work you don't have to pay attention in class but make sure you go because hes strict about attendance. Also he makes alot of rude comments towards asian students (although he probalby doesnt realize hes being offensive) so be wary.

Real cool guy. Don't panic about the work, you'll learn a lot from it and that's the point of school... To learn. Turn in every single assignment early to get his comments. Make list of vocab for tests and glance at figures. Do the extra credit early, it will go more in depth about things he talks about and you can apply these to case studies.

Comment:

He's a professor with a lot of professional experience. But when it comes down to his case studies and assignments, he does not clarify exactly how he wants you to answer the questions. It's mandatory to attend class even though he teaches from the book. He is also very nice in person but he plays by the book. Give him the answers he wants to hear.

Comment:

Dom is hard to deal with but he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He grades group projects harshly if you do not do them his way. You have to go to class and use the textbook to study. He gives 3 extra credit assignments worth 10 points each. If you do those and go to class you will be fine.

A thoroughly useless, arrogant instructor. Class lectures come directly from the book, but are still mandatory. VERY picky about group work, will only accept answers that HE thinks are right, and will not accept other points of view. Very self centered and, if he does not like your group for any reason, get used to getting B's on group projects.

Not the cool guy some were talking about here. He hates your group and penalizes your assignments if one person in your group doesn't show up to class. Was always talking about his personal health for no reason and never missed an opportunity to pat himself on the back, while criticizing the class's "passion" consistently. Would not recommend him.

tests are just vocab words so remember text in bold. group work is pretty easy since there are like 5 people to a group. final group presentaion was fun. the final essay was no worse than any other essay you had to write in engl 110. overall easy class i got an B test average and still got an A because he gave 3 extra credit papers
