This was NOT a class for beginning Spanish speakers! In order to pass you have to have some background in Spanish. By the 6th week the entire lecture was given almost solely in Spanish, which made taking notes an studying nearly impossible. There is a ton of homework, three oral exams and quizes/tests in some form every week. She does TRY to help..

Dr. Factor I great! Everyone should take her! She is nice, very clear in her teaching, and on what she expects in the class. If you attend her class, do your homework, and actually try, you should definitely get an A. She also provides tons of extra credit to top it all off. Very helpful if I would have gone on to Spanish 2 I would take her.

unorganized.. we do homework THEN she lectures us and quickly moves on to the next subject. we don't spend enough time on retaining the information given to us. speak about it then on to the next. ALL the homework is online and she doesn't allow makeups. for not thoroughly teaching us she grades really harsh. the class went from 30+ to 12 students.

First time taking spanish class cause I needed it to transfer. She is an amazing teacher. For every class, you get to be paired up with a diff classmate. You will need to read the book. One IMPORTANT thing you need to know if you're gonna take her class is there's gonna be TONS of HW, 365 to be exact & took me about 50 hours to do all of it.

Professor Factor is a great teacher! She is always willing to further explain something - even if it is just one person in class who doesn't understand. Majority of the homework is online and takes about an hour to complete (sometimes longer - especially if you aren't already a Spanish speaker). Take her class!!

Dr. Factor was the first Spanish professor I had, and I did pretty well. Dr. Factor answers all questions and explains things clearly. There is a LOT of homework, and a lot of responsibility. However, she was rarely on time to classes, and the students didn't respect her because of that. Make sure you memorize EVERYTHING, and you'll pass.

She's an overall amazing professor. Her class is not that hard as long as you're paying attention and you do all the assigned "tons" of homework online. If you got a question just ask her and she be willing to answer it for you, she explains very clear and well and she kinda inspires me to learn more Spanish.

She is very nice and helpful. Expect a lot of homework. She gives good feedback and great explanation. I didn't study for quizzes because I knew Spanish already, but if you're not like me then you need to study and follow her study strategy. The class is a bit fast pace after midterms. I recommend this class because is fun and musical!

She is a nice but hard-headed lady overall. Most of student in my class was native speaker with few challenges in their foreign language so it must be easier for them. For me I took Spanish for three years in high school (almost 10 yrs ago) and I forgot many. To be honest I personally think my high school teacher can explain way better than her.

Very good teacher, especially for those that are NOT native speakers. There are lots of native speakers at ECC and the teachers sometimes forget that not everyone speaks Spanish fluently. She speaks slowly and is always checking the class to see if we understand the main idea of what she is teaching. I highly recommend her.

She was alright. The only thing I do have to say is that she is very hardheaded. I'm a fluent Spanish speaker.. And I'm pretty sure I know when I hear something wrong in Spanish or something that doesn't make sense. A couple times I tried correcting her and she totally blew me off. Her Spanish is LEARNED and not all correct. She tries too hard.

This was my first Spanish class and what not a better teacher to have taken. I will admit that the new text book and online homework was a bit much but if you had problems she would allow you to go back and fix it. She also gives out a great extra credit assignment that is awesome.

Very fun. Great sense of humor. Gripes: Too much homework. Vista Higher Learning is a annoyingly meticulous, in terms of submitting homework online. Factor is very zen-like and calming to be around. She is very native-like, too. She's multi-talented. She singed in class a few times. Take her. It's worth it in the long-run.

Dr. Factor is one of my favorite profs ever! She's very clear, explains well, makes you work with different people every class, keeps you doing different things so you don't get bored. I had her for Spanish 1 and 2 and I learned so much! She's firm and keeps on track, but she's very kind and helpful too. She speaks only Spanish in Spanish 2.

She's such a nice lady, her Spanish 1 class was easy. She made me actually want to do the homework cuz she made the class interesting and fun. The way she taught was easy to follow. It doesn't hurt to look at her either :). Definitely recommend.
