Comment:
Expect to invest into a recorder because she gives you barely any outlines for projects (2 projects out of 5) and forgets to mention details. Expects art to be intermediate or higher because she used to work at Alfred. Had her before? she will Grade harder the 2nd time around. 3 absences at the most. She multiplies them by 2....

Comment:
This lady doesn't understand that she is teaching an art class at a community college. Grade is pretty much completely subjective to her tastes in art. Most people are just taking the class as an elective and trying to get an easy grade but she treats it like some sort of advanced art course at an actual college. Would not take her again.

I took this class as an elective for the credit, and for fun. There was no pleasing her and she had poor time management. Don't expect to get an A. She also frowns upon working on assignments outside of class unless you come to her room during certain hours. If you can't come to those, you're screwed. Expect 2-3 days to finish a whole project.

Ms. Fierle lets you know both where you're doing well in your drawing and what you can change, and will demonstrate to explain the latter. She encourages you to step outside your comfort zone. However, I did not feel my grade was consistent with her feedback. The end-of-class final critique from her was so positive that my final grade shocked me.

I loved her as a teacher. I was a little nervous taking drawing at first, but she has taught me a lot and I'm a much better drawer than I used to be.
